The hotel service is not over the top. When I checked in my room was not welcoming (usually there is a gift basket waiting for you upon arrival) my point is that the resort is meeting just OK standards.
The animation team was really good and entertaining and friendly. Maybe too much dancing all the time.

Room Tip: A room closer to beach is more quite.

We went just after Christmas 2013. It was lovely., The property is vast. We are beach lovers. There was no problem getting a chair and cabana, We never had to go early., Loved the people, food, waterfront, and staff. The wildlife on the property was lovely. The flamingos by the steakhouse were great to watch., My husband and I had a lovely time. Room was dated but the bed was good and the water pressure, too. Couldn't charge my phone in room. The cord wouldn't fit right in outlet, New Years celebration was very nice. Not the best one I have had on the island but good. We had a spectacular New Year's two years ago in Be Live Santa Domingo., It had live entertainment, dinner on beach. We would return it Natura Park anyday.

Room Tip: We faced the restaurant, second floor. West side. Was good. Liked the balcony.

I really enjoyed our time, the service was great. The facility needs remodification and the rooms were not spectacular, but comfortable enough. We did have an issue with our bathtub filling up with water that we reported, but they couldn't seem to fix it. My biggest disappointment was when I exchanged money. I gave them a 20 dollar bill and asked for half in pesos and half in dollars. They gave me a 10 dollar bill which I later realized was a counterfeit bill! Big disappointment coming from the resort. I didn't pay close attention, but when I looked at it later, it was very obvious which makes me think they knew and gave it to me anyways. Despite that, I enjoyed my stay and like the smallness of the resort, walking distance to the beach and pool, easy to get around, beautiful beach, nice pool, great food!

We visited this is a beautifully tranquil resort from February 26 to March 12, 2014. Each building is arranged with the doors surrounding an individual landscaped courtyard so all rooms face out with either a good sized patio or balcony. The rooms are adequate with the usual desk, couch, 1 or 2 beds, mini fridge. All doors have screen doors so you can leave them open to the breezes and wonderful sound of the ocean. The closet had four small drawers and shelves, as well as the safe, at the cost of $24.US per week. The bathroom had a good size counter and sink and a very deep tub with shower. The toilet area was private with a louver door and more space than needed.
We could walk out our door and be on the beach in a minute. We were in room 2141 Patio(bldg) #7 on the outside of the courtyard overlooking trees, manicured lawn, the beach and beautiful ocean as well as being very quiet, away from the noise of the pool and bars. The room numbering is consecutive from building 1 (starting at 1101 to 2248) in building 7, then to building 13 (2158) to building 8 (4258). Very confusing and makes no sense to where you are in the complex. It is possible to get to the buffet from the furthest building following a series of hallways that interconnect from one building to the next. This could be helpful if you wish to avoid the pushy vendors lurching on the bridges and walkways. They are allowed on the property but NOT off the pathways.
The grounds are impeccable with pathways that meander around ponds and bridges cross waterways filled with fish, frogs, turtles and hungry birds taking full advantage. The variety of birds range from a peacock with 4 or 5 peahens that roamed the grounds, as well as flamingos, egrets, a variety of herons and coots joined the ducks and geese on the ponds. A wide variety of plants and trees (which are identified in Spanish) such as bamboo, mangrove, coconut and visitor palms are abundant creating archways and shade along the pathways. The beach is huge and deepith soft white sand, beautiful turquoise water, lapping waves, hundreds of loungers and lots of palapas. The grounds crews keep the beach clean and rake often in windy weather. The beach to the left belonging to the Nature reserve is enormous and natural with wild jungle behind. What a shame that people do not pick up their empty plastic cups and water bottles and put them into recycle. The water is crystal clear with a little seaweed but very inviting. You can see the breakers off in the distance crashing over the reef, the sound is mesmerizing. During the day we were under our palapas on the beach in view of our room and just behind the Chiringuito Bavaro bar with the best bartender Mayra. Our favorite evening bar was just outside our building. The El Mirador is on top of the pool bar, overlooking the pool, La Perla restaurant and the beach, nice and quiet in the evening. The busy El Merenguito was fun to meet people but it could be very noisy and could be lots of fun, a good place to meet before or after dinner at the buffet restaurant. There was always coffee available both day and night. La Cana buffet restaurant was always bustling at every meal and had a vast array of tantalizing dishes for every taste. Our favorite restaurant was the à la carte; La Media Luna Grill. The veal dinner at the nicely decorated Italian restaurant, La Gondola was very good. In the evening La Perla was the seafood à la carte with some very nice dishes. La Perla was a buffet at lunch had a large variety of selections for any tastes ranging from salads, pastas, Mexican, beef, chicken etc. etc. etc. Outside was the grill serving hot dogs and hamburgers with casual, no shirts or shoes required for sitting at the picnic tables. On Tuesday evenings a lot of effort was put into setting up and decorating this area for the delightful and delicious “Nolitours BBQ” on the beach.
We met people from all parts of Canada, Russia, Germany, USA, and Morocco. Three cheers to all the staff who work from before sunrise to the wee hours at night. All in all this was a great vacation.

Room Tip: If you want quiet choose Patios(bldgs 7 or 8) near beach, if you like busy busy choose near main lob...

Beach and enviroment was beautiful. I have never seen so beautiful place. But hotel accommodation and service was average, nothing special. The room was very old without significant reconstruction and also we had some problem with water in our bathroom, because water was flowed through the roof. I

we checked in mar 2 /14 took few mins but fairly easy, room was easy to find, it was dated but clean , we were content, large king size bed and stocked fridge, the beach was the best part ,,there was lots of space, with lots of chairs, never a problem finding 4 together, the grounds were beautiful with ponds of fish, turtles and birds, I found the Buffet wonderful, anyone who says not enough variety is silly,,they had several choices of meats and fish every night,,I actually preferred the buffet to the steak house,,the seafood restaurant was wonderful also,,we found that there was plenty of empty tables the night we were at the steak house but was told it was all booked,,hmm not sure why all empty tables,,the nightly entertainment was entertaining,,we especially liked the Circus night,,the Servers were wonderful and got to know Us by the end of the week,, we met some nice people there,,went on 3 fun excursions,,overall our trip was a success in our eyes,,I would return back some day, but big world out there to explore,,,

My fiancé and I stayed at Natura Eco Resort & Spa for two weeks. We had amazing holiday! We have done many all inclusive vacations before and have loved them all including this one. Each holiday is always an 'ADVENTURE" we like to say, and nothing is perfect in life ,so why should this be any different.!?
I will start off with the good as I feel they FAR out way the bad.
The beach is amazing, the water is gorgeous. The grounds are very pretty, and well kept. The staff is very accommodating. There was never a problem with a language barrier. The food is in abundance, and lots to choose from. Check in and check out was quick and simple. Never had a problem reserving our a la carte reservations, and we used all 6 of ours. No problem with theft. the beds, pillows and linen were good,( not the best ,but certainly didn't loos sleep over it). T.V. was old and English channels limited, but once again not there to watch t.v. Weather was AWESOME !! Our excursions were great and not ridiculously priced. We booked 2 out of 3 with our West Jet rep. One we did through the resort vendors. All great, and I encourage you to leave the resort and see the country of Dominicana Republica..so beautiful and lots to see and learn.
Now for the negative. Yes the resort is older and needs some renos & TLC, but they seem to be doing that. We were always seeing someone fixing ,painting etc. And we met friends who had a room on the beach ,and they had up grades, such as flat screen t.v. and what i thought was a nicer room than ours. We had to pay $48.00 US for the safe ( $24.00 US) per wk. I have never had to pay for a safe before, so that was not great, but I was also aware of it before getting there , so was prepared. The breakfast buffet was always the same. Lunch not much better. But we are not fussy eaters, and always had lots of yummy food . The a la carte restaurants if you reserved a later time ,were behind and service was not as good,so if possible book a 6:30 pm reservation. Our favorite was the Italian, they had an amazing buffet before the main course which had top of the line cheeses, meats, salads, garnishes ,etc.. we loved that <3 . The drink mixes are very sweet and pre made,so that was probably the biggest disappointment for me. As I don't like sweet syrup drinks, and have had at other resorts fresh blender drinks. We took our own insulated cups, so drinks stayed cold, and we didn't have to fuss with their flimsy plastic cups, which I thought should not be there since it is advertised as an ECO resort. Some of the vendors were very pushy, especially if you were a new face. But once they recognized you, and had told them NO a few times ,they left us alone. Overall we had an amazing time. And would go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as close to beach as possible. they seem to be upgrading and starting in that directi...
