The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana exceeded our family's expectations. The Family Concierege was amazing. My granddaughter had a ball! Sophia was accommodating every moment of the day and night! The rooms were perfect - CLEAN, fresh, well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to go back. The food was also good at many restaurants, even the buffet. I also felt very "safe" Upon arrival, after registering, we were ushered into the Gabi Restaurant and Lounge for lunch to wait for our room to be ready. My daughter & daughter-in-law all thought someone should sit at the table and watch our bags. A waiter came up to me and said "don't worry - go eat - nothing will be touch". He was so right. The staff is courteous, friendly and happy. Truly a gem.

Room Tip: Rooms in Section 40 the The Reserve "Family Concierge" are close to the KIDS CLUB so if he...

While the hotel is lovely there are many up charges and issues with check in. Our reservation with another Paradisus hotel was changed by the hotel 3 days before our arrival, and since the hotel names were so similar, we didn't realize we were put in a different resort--one much less nice than the one we reserved! We had to wait forever for our room, got put in a tiny room when we already paid extra for a larger suite. Had to wait again. They were very nice to give us the family concierge service for free when I complained. The food was mediocre but were able to make reservations through our concierge. Also, because of confusion and translation issues with transferring into a larger suite from a smaller one we reserved through RCI, we were given a discount verbally over the phone. We tried to get in writing but again, language barrier was an issue so we went with it and prepaid immediately.
At check out they tried to charge us the same rate as the nicer hotel AND would not give us the 15% discount we were promised. Very disappointing. We are still working with the credit card company to recover funds, months later. BEWARE and know what you're supposed to get or you will get taken advantage of.

Paradisus Punta Cana is beautiful. The grounds are stunning, the palm trees and hibiscus are beautiful, the room is contemporay & spacious, the beach is breathtaking. There is so much to do and discover at ParadisusPC, it takes a bit of time to get familiarized with the grounds. But it is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that makes the difference.

Our Family Concierge, Hairol Beca, ensured that our stay at the Reserve was enjoyable. He was very attentive and took care of dinner reservations, reserving a thatched roof cabana on the beach, he was able to get bikes for us (they were very much in demand) and answer questions. Hairol added many nice touches: bottle of champagne, nightly treats/milk/cookies/cupcakes for the kids and special bubble bath for the kids. He delivered the bicycle keys as well as dinner reservation cards to our room (never any issues about reservations). The FC cell phone with direct connection to Hairol made communication seamless. Hairol seemed to be everywhere and we might see him at the beach, in the lobby, at the pool...he wanted to make sure our needs were met. Thank you Hairol!!

Berlis Medina at the KidsZone was super. You will see her charisma and radiant smile at the KidsDisco which precedes the nightly entertainment at the Theater. After trying out the KidsZone, our daughter only regretted not checking out the KidsZone sooner...once she went, she wanted to return. The activities were well scheduled including painting, swimming/pool games, making cookies, going to the Adventure Park. Our daughter also enjoyed meeting children from other countries.

The Reserve/Family Concierage section of the beach was staffed by: Ramon Ramirez, Luis Santana, Oneida Zarilla and Maiker Ramirez. What can I say but they did a wonderful job with showing us to our reserved location, getting towels, taking drink requests, and they were very attentive. Our kids loved sipping the frozen strawberry-mango welcome drinks and Dirty Monkeys. Staff had very warm, enthusiastic, welcoming personalities and radiant smiles that made us feel at home. we appreciated and enjoyed this staff!! Free boogie boards (deposit of $20/board) were available at the adjacent sports booth. Parasailing, kayaking, catamaran rentals etc were available too. Showers to wash off sand and clean restrooms were a 1 minute walk. Lunch at Gabi Beach or Naos was a 2-3 minutes walk. Beach is a brisk 8 minute walk or 3 minute shuttle ride (but you could be waiting up to 15 minutes for the shuttle)

Breakfast buffet was good at GAbi beach or Gabi Club. The latter was conveniently located within the Reserve, just a 2 minute walk. There was an extensive variety of food from pancakes, crepes, toast to bacon sausage and ham. Fresh sweet mango and pineapple were favorites. Omelets were good too. Mangu and plaintains were a nice change of pace. We especially liked the lox caviar croissants. These are open air restaurants with ceiling fans but it was cool enough in the morning. We also liked the evening hours at Gabi Club so we could get a late night bite.

Of all restaurants, Vento was our favorite, conveniently located at the Reserve; in fact we liked it so much we returned here for our last dinner. This is indoors, contemporary with a nice variety of dishes on the menu. Ravioli, rack of lamb, osso buco, crusted tuna and seabass with couscous were very well prepared.

The Grill was also excellent. Special kudos to our server, Juan P, who was excellent and very attentive. The salad bar was very well arranged. The Buenos Aires Special consisting of skirt steak, sirloin and sausage was noteworthy.

Kudos to the chef at Aqua for the beef scallopini marsala. But long pants or bug spray were helpful to ward off mosquito/bug bites at this outdoor restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana, and we would recommend Paradisus Punta Cana Family concierge especially for families--a memorable vacation.

Room Tip: We were in building 41 (also bldg 40), 3rd floor of the Reserve, and this was ideal for us. This bu...

We are a family of 4 with teen agers. Everyone was so impressed by this resort. Food was excellent. Rooms were superior. Beds extremely comfortable. Grounds were beautiful. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. It was not crowded while we were there. We stayed in The Reserve section, but the entire hotel was not too crowded. We never had to wait for dinner. The resort is large, but not too large, very manageable. Highly recommend !

Perfectly groomed resort, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our concierge Sophia Paternina made sure we were well taken care of. She was beyond amazing, so friendly, incredibly responsive and really takes to time to understand your needs so she can get it done right the first time. Her follow-up and thoroughness are spot on. Freshest tropical fruits, cookies with milk or coconut juice every night. One the day she prepare for us Jacuzzi with rose peddles with cold champagne on the table. That was a really nice surprise after a hot day on the beach! The beach and ocean were beautiful. The pool at the Reserve is large and spacious and we couldn't have had better weather. The resort is huge and the Reserve is not right next to the beach but it is only a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute tram ride. The restaurants offer many different types of menus and if you are not 100% satisfied you can stop back at the buffet next to the pool until 10 pm for dishes such as most delicious grilled lamb chops, lobster tails, shrimp, chicken etc. Spoil yourself and relax in the beautiful resort, live is short!

Room Tip: All rooms are good.
