We stayed 5/3 - 5/10....as stated the hotel, grounds and beach are all beautiful....thanks management for listening to other comments....full length mirrors were being installed the week we were there.

I got the Diamond Club because we choose Adults Only section, which gives you the adults only room & pool....the other Diamond Club amenities were a bonus.....though I am glad we did not pay extra for it because it was an option.

Our butler was Felix......seriously send this man back to school........the only thing we requested was the reservations for dinner & he screwed those up....after 2 days I requested a different butler (other guest complained also).... The gentleman we asked volunteered to set our reservations for the week & he was great not 1 error.....not difficult.

Food was great everywhere our favorite was Hunter Steakhouse.......awesome.

Shout outs to: Jose at the adults only pool bar......best Bloody Mary on the island....Nelson at the Martini Bar, always ready with a great drink & a smile.......Nurise at the spa, I had the Inner Wisdom package & it was amazing.....one of the best spa experiences ever! Brajam (spelling questionable) at the omelet station for breakfast was awesome fried eggs or an omelet delicious, he was always ready with a smile and a friendly greeting.....every morning.....a pleasant way to start your day!

The beds & pillows are truly heavenly.....a good nights sleep every night.....missing it here at home!

Room Tip: This hotel does not have elevators......may not be the best choice for kids and people who have trou...

My wife and I are sitting in the lobby bar waiting to go home after 14 days in this stunning hotel. We had a great relaxing holiday the food was excellent in the restaurants but very boring in the buffet. Breakfast was the best meal here with the chef frying the omelettes every morning saying morning mamma and pappa keeping it fun. The things that need improvement is 5% of the staff like the bar staff in the pool bar taking your order and giving you the wrong drinks because they are distracted by women in bikinis also on our last day we were in room 1347 we were sitting in our room waiting to get ready to depart and were getting phone calls are you leaving today felt like we were being rushed. Now nothing to do with the hotel the Thompson reps Domingo and Evans good and bad cop Domingo was a good seller and funny while Evans was bad cop in a fun way we have a problem with him he sold us a trip to the outback and gave him 200 dollars and he said he would give us the change and receipt later he kept the change beware of this. In Short great hotel but not perfect the room was scored low for a few reasons like the shower leaked decoration in the bathroom a bit shabby and no sink plug

Currently staying here and while the hotel and food are ok I would say more 4 plus than 5 star. Main concerns are the pushy sales pitches going on to try and get you to sign up to holiday clubs and timeshares. You start to feel that you have to avoid certain areas if the hotel or certain staff as they will try and get you involved or part of a group meeting. While I know these can be avoided and you can say no it's not what I expect from this type of resort.

I will start by saying my family with two parents and 3 teenagers were staying at the Royalton for a week of sun and relaxation. Lat year we stayed at the Riu in Aruba. Beautiful island and a nice resort, we were happy there. This year we saw the reviews for the Royalton and thought if half of this is true we will be happy. The spoil alert it was very true. We booked the Diamond Club thank you to the reviewers who suggested it. The money was well worth it. We arrived May 7 the check in and tour were very nice hassle free. The resort is very nice and super clean. My spouse is very particular and she was impressed. The room is just like the pictures we were in building 3 great view of the pool and ocean. The room is modern and bright you can tell everything is recently renovated. Yes there was premium alcohol and the mini bar was full.
The beach is beautiful with white sand and turquoise water.
The diamond club section was great we had a bed and hut every day. We wake up early out of habit and we there by 6am. We saw other guests getting beds as late as 8am maybe even 8.30am so you do not have to rise with the sun.
The beach service was friendly and great. We were served drinks on a regular basis and had lunch on the beach most days. For the people who want to relax it was unbeatable. For the people who want activities there was something for everyone from kids to adults I played volley ball most days and met some great people from around the world.
The martini bar was great, my wife loved the coffee bar. I forget the lady's name from the coffee bar she was there every night we went there. She was very friendly and super nice. She taught my family a bit of spanish.
The restaurants were very good. I really enjoyed Zen the staff there are very funny and friendly the food was great. Hunter was good as well. i thought Under the Sea was the best. Eddy # 1 was our first waiter he was very friendly with great service and food. Rafael was our waiter the second time we went and was also outstanding.
A special thank you to Jose Antonio our butler. Jose looked after our reservations and made several great suggestions to us. He was always there for us to help to help with any request we had. We felt like VIP's our entire vacation. The room service was also incredible with a great menu. The kids had breakfast in bed more then once.
Thank you the Royalton and Sunwing for a wonderful vacation this family will not forget. In case it needs to be said we will come back for sure.

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Royalton. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff are fantastic. When we arrived we were told there were not enough rooms available at the Royalton (which we booked and paid for) and that we would be moved to the Memories resort for 2 days. Obviously we were not happy with this and asked to speak with a manager. Thankfully the person we spoke with was Marta and she went above and beyond to rectify the situation. She quickly found us two rooms at the Royalton and upgraded us to the Diamond club for our entire stay. The diamond club team was more than helpful and always gave us top notch help and service with a smile. Every request was granted and done very quickly. Thank you again to Marta, Gabrielle and Tapanas (I hope I spelled that right). Our butler Junior was very helpful and kind, Jose Luis also did a great job filling in for Junior on his days off. We never had a problem finding loungers at the pool, beach or Diamond Club beach. Food was good, we especially liked the buffet. Brayan was such a pleasure to see every morning, he made great omelettes, always cooked my eggs the way I liked them, so friendly and he was so much fun to watch - Excellente Brayan! The beach is beautiful and the sand is so soft. Out of all of the shows the Michael Jackson one was the best. The woman they hired to teach Zumba for the week of May 12 was amazing, we had so much fun doing Zumba by the pool! All of the staff were so friendly and kind always saying Ola! with a smile every time we passed by. Sad it's all over, now back to reality.

Room Tip: 3rd floor is probably your best bet otherwise you may hear footsteps and chairs moving above you. Al...

One word...Perfect!!! It worth the money I paid. Nice place, not big, everything is central. Nice lobby, nice pools!! Nice beach as well. The buffet is a little bit small but there's a nice variety. EVERY restaurant outthere are good ( rare in an Hotel ). The Steakhouse is awsome!! Excellent service everywhere. The coffe shop is good as a Starbuck. The room are nice and clean. Talking about clean, even the beach toilet were spotless, I think they had somebody cleaning 24/7!! Andrew, the sunwing guy, made a miracle for us, he was able to put the Habs game at the sports bar and use is own laptop for it. Thanks Andrew!! Really, I will comeback here, anytime!! The only negative part and it can be fix quick, they are missing a beach bar.

I absolutely enjoyed my vacation time at this resort. My sister and I were there for her birthday and it was the greatest time ever. There was always something to do each day. Everyone was so friendly, there was one particular Hostess that stood out from the rest her name is Yanilsa, I wanted to commend her on a job well done... Muy Bien!!!!
