Excellent location with view on yachts and liners. Great food at reasonable prices and the service was very friendly. Definitely recommended going back also for an evening meal. The kitchen even accepted to place our fresh tuna fish from the market in their fridge during our lunch.

At the end of the Carenage, the Ocean Grill is ideally located to give diners terrific scenic views of the approach to St Georges Harbour. Lunch included lambi (conch) and prawn kebab with callaloo rice - a good portion of both! Carib on draft was a bonus. Service was very friendly and attentive, without being fussy.

The location of this restaurant is fantastic. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and seated straight away in a lovely spot, so we could see the harbor and all of the views surrounding us. A cruise ship had docked for the day, as the restaurant was packed with visitors, it was a great atmosphere, but whoever planned the staffing schedules, got it very wrong, as they were very understaffed to the point that we saw at least 3 couples get up and leave as the wait was LONG. Several of the seafood options were off the menu that day, however there were more things to tempt us. We have visited many islands all over the Caribbean, so understand, that sometimes there can be a little be of a wait, whilst your food is being prepared, however, we have never had to wait that long. From the time of being seated, to receiving our food, took an hour and half, and some... it was only because of the glorious views, that kept us occupied that we stayed. Waiting staff were very friendly, and apologised for the long delay, and the food, when it eventually arrived was quite tasty. We were staying in Grenada for 2 weeks, so decided to return for a second time, and on a day when it was a lot quieter. The service was, very friendly once again, and our lovely waiter & waitress recognized us. Once again though, the crab & scallops were off the menu, and 3 of the fruit juices that we tried to order were also UN-available. The food arrived to our table in a reasonable amount of time, but this time around the quality was awful, we had a side order of fries, with our meal that were the most UN-appealing fries, that looked 'grey' in color...awful! We would go there again, but perhaps only for drinks, to enjoy the view.

The Management and Staff at Ocean Grill would like to thank you for taking time out to share your concerns with us. Like is expected, we are always delighted when the reviews expressed are postive but obviously dissapointed when they are not.
I am particularly adressing the incident with the guest who requested a taxi back to their hotel, and referred to the experience as a "rip-off". I am terribly sorry you felt that way and do sincerely apologize.

However, in the young man's defense, he called and spoke to you on two occasions, and also called the other couple on three occassions on his return, realizing he had made an error. He was clearly disturbed and wanted to fix the problem. He was never able to reach the other couple.
We were all sorry this had happened and wanted to be able to mend the problem. We again truly apologize.

The staff here at Ocean Grill, all remembered you, since you both seem to have had a wonderful experience, and were very vocal about same. You were given a feedback form by your waiter to rate our food, service and ambience, which you rated as being EXCELLENT.

We always pride ourselves on being honest and straight forward with all our guest and this case is an isolated one. Although you were not expecting to pay the full cost of the transport fare, and thought it should be shared between the both couples (which in fact is what should have happened), we view your "rip-off" comment as being a bit harsh and misleading. You also said you thought the trip was free. We do not agree, since you were told before leaving of the cost and you agreed.

It is also unfortunate that despite how much you said the food was excellent before your experience, you allowed that to change your rating of your dining experience.

Despite all of this, we are grateful for the the time you spent with us and hope that your memory of Ocean Grill is not marred by the unfortunate incident which occured after your dining experience.

We have recently arrived home from a wonderful holiday in Grenada and visited Ocean Grill 4 times. The waiting staff are young, intelligent and courteous and deserve a 4-star rating - better than a lot of London restaurants! They are a real credit to Shereen. The food is lovely, fresh and varied. We recommend the chocolate cake dessert, if you have room! Location is great, always something going on in the harbour. We intend to revisit Grenada and will definitely return to Ocean Grill, where you are not treated as "customers", but as "guests" Thanks to all of you..

My husband and I recently had a week in Grenada and on a visit to St. Georges decided to return one evening for a posh meal at the Ocean Grill. It is beautifully set on the water but obviously does not have a great reputation as we were the only ones eating there that night.
On arrival we were told that they had no crab, scallops or kingfish. Not a good start, but we had a very nice meal with a bottle of Pinot Grigio - I can't now think what we had so obviously not that memorable. Our waiter was very good and very well educated.
Anyway when the bill arrived I pointed out that the wine had not been added. I was thanked profusely, and this was rectified. We then asked if a taxi could be called for us and our waiter asked if we minded sharing with a young couple who had been having a drink at the bar and who were staying at a hotel next to ours. Of course we said this was not a problem and he said he would take us.
So our waiter drove us back to our respective hotels and then charged each couple US $50. My husband "hit the roof" as we had clearly been ripped off. Yes the taxi fare from St. Georges is US $50 but we all thought it was complimentary and anyway how could he charge this amount twice.
Back in our hotel room we were phoned to say we had been overcharged and he would refund both us and the other couple but we never heard from him again. You can imagine how I felt having told them about the wine! So beware folks. (Name of waiter withheld as I'm not altogether sure it was his fault).
