We were promptly met at the cruise port by Ian, and suprised to find out that there were only 4 of us on teh tour. Thsi tunred out to be brilliant as we got ask so many questions and really get an understadning of how life on teh island really is. Ian was wonderful and happy to answer all question about any topic at all.
It was lovely to hear about why he came to Grenada and decided to stay and how families and society works there. Every where we went everyone knew him. He was just so lovely.
Grenada as an island was fascinating, and such a wonderful culture. was great to see all the working stations for nutmeg, rum, chocolate etc.
Belmost Estate put on a wonderful lunch in a fabulous setting, and hearing about how the estate has supported the community makes you happy to help out as a tourist by eating there.
The island is beautiful and i loved all the greenery of the rainforests. Apparently a lot of it is still not recovered after the hurricanes so I can only imagine how lush it was before.
I highly recommend this compnay - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt we walked away with a wonderful understanding of the country and its people. We saw so much in one day but it never felt rushed or too much. I didnt want the day to end.
