As part of a week touring West Wales this was the highlight of a week full of highlights. Sadly we only stayed the one night, but will return.
Situated between Lampeter and the coast, tucked away down some small lanes, I initially thought the place would be hard to find, but it is quite well signposted locally, particularly the 'Tres Bijou' restaurant at the front of the premises. We arrived without having to search at all!
We were welcomed warmly by proprietors Melvyn and Eve, whose hospitality was excellent throughout our stay. We stayed in the delightful log cabin (slept very soundly with no other noise than the stream outside) and enjoyed strolling around the grounds to see the pet ducks and other animals.
The tiny 'gothic' style restaurant (pictured) had the right balance of informality and formality. A delicious and interesting range of home-cooked vegetarian dishes, home-baked bread and simple but sound wine list made it an evening to remember. I understand fish is available but to be honest the veggie dishes stand well on their own - by the way I am writing this as a carnivore!
My only hesitation in writing this review is that everyone will want to go there! Highly recommended
