We did a quick stop to Levera beach where you can see the islands of the Grenadines. This is definitely a place where locals hang out and have a picnic. The water is a bit rough here but gorgeous colors. You can swim inside the coral barrier but it is rough just past that area. The beach is marked with flags to define which areas are swimmable

A very rough beach, strong currents, wild. I loved it and enjoyed having chicken and chips and then strolling along the beach.

Levera in dry season may not attract a lot of birds but as we love wild life we decided to see this NP and found that the turtles come on shore to lay their eggs at this time. We liked the beach and the area is secluded and peaceful but this time of year I think the turtles would be the best attraction here.

Soft, sandy Levera Beach is famous for its leatherback turtle. I like the serenity of the place; when we arrived here the feeling was of having the whole beach for ourself. Apparently not manny turists come to see this beautiful beach. It is indeed a great place by the see to enjoy long easy walks.
Next time we'll try to come after dark and watch for the turtles coming to shore. The small island of Sugar Loaf is just a few hundred yards from the beach, offering some protection from the furious Atlantic waves.
