After some difficulty finding the place and being a few minutes late for our reservation (the Trip Advisor mobile app was no help and needs some serious improvement if it is to be useful 'in the moment'), we were warmly greeted by the proprietress. She noticed our French was limited and offered us English menus, though when it came time to ordering, our waitress could not understand or read the English version so she brought over the French version and we figured it out together.
We focused on the Creole offerings, enjoying cod sausage, a mixed plate that included accras, lobster, stuffed conch, boudin, plus juicy wassou with pumpkin sauce and legumes de pays (very delicious root vegetables).
The atmosphere was very festive and it felt like a beach restaurant even though one couldn't see the beach at night. Everyone (including us) was having a good time and the wait staff was working very hard. They really hustle.
