We have been to Labadee multiple times and each time we've thoroughly enjoyed our visit. True, you do not experience life in Labadee, but it's also true you spend very little money enjoying a day at the beach. Most other Caribbean island require a taxi ride or transfer. Labadee, you walk off the ship to the beach. Definitely bring water shoes. The north beaches are rocky. I brought my snorkel mask and enjoyed that. Bathrooms are clean and abundant. The lunch is included as part of your SeaPass. My daughter did the Dragon's Breathe zip line and thought that was fun but pricey.

What a beautiful place! The beach, the mountains, the azure blue water and the weather. Would go back in a heartbeat! We reserved a cabana on barefoot beach and spent our time on the beach, in the cabana, meeting some locals and doing walking tours. Only downside was not enough time there. RCI certainly knew what they were doing when they purchased this property and fixed it up as one of their Caribbean destinations. Locals were very friendly although in the market place they tended to be a bit pushy, but you need to remember this is the way they provide for themselves and their families, so you can respect their efforts. Certainly changed my opinion of Haiti, partly due to the beach area, but also the surrounding mountain scenery and the locals we met.

Love Labadee as a port stop and only Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises stop here. We've been 3 times, twice on Explorer of the seas and once on Oasis of the seas. We usually just spend the day relaxing at the beach and have a special spot that we now make a beeline too when we dock. You can do some shopping in the markets, but it's a pretty high pressure intense shopping experience and definitely not for everyone. Our son's have done the zipline and we will likely do it next time we travel here. The only thing I don't like is that I can't give blood for a whole year after travelling here....

Stopped here on the Allure of the Seas Western Caribbean cruise. It very much is a resort designed by and for Royal Caribbean. Don't expect to see Haiti and it's culture on this stop. Beaches are nice. Jet skiing was a fun activity I would recommend. The tour of Labadee was interested. It provided a perspective the history of Hispaniola and Haiti on how Royal Caribbean revitalized the Labadee area. The tour was given by a Royal Caribbean employed local guide so there may have been a bias. Overall, would recommend the tour as well. Nice beaches but the jet skiing and tour did not leave much time to enjoy the beaches.

This is a beautiful Caribbean beach owned by Royal Caribbean. It was a nice place to soak in the sun and eat a great meal. Bar service is good but at the the expense of your Sea Pass!! One of the best ziplines in the Caribbean. Overall...it was a great port for relaxing!

My tips:
-Wear water shoes!!! This beach is very rocky.
- If you wander outside of the RC merchandising, the local shops were the WORST I have ever experienced of ANY island. They were literally pulling you by the arm out of neighbors shops!
