We eat at the Karibe about once every three months. It is a breath of fresh air in a congested city. The service is consistently good, the food is consistently good, and the grounds are a gorgeous tropical retreat. Dinner is a little pricey, we eat there more often for lunch. Occasionally we splurge for the pool day where you pay $30 per person and get $30 credit on food/drink which buys us lunch, an afternoon drink or two, and a personal pizza each to take home with us for dinner. It is truly an oasis.

We spent the day at Karibe, it's a nice place, terrace with a beautiful view, pool and good restaurant. I prefer the Montana terrace with it's incredible view, but Karibe is well located in Pétionville. Did not try the rooms. Excellent service.

Karibe Hotel is actually the best Hotel in Haiti. I called it the Hybrid Hotel. And the reason why, it has a mixture of business and pleasure simultaneously. The hotel is extremely spacious with pool, spa, tennis club, restaurant, restaurant/bar and other amenities.

Hotel Karibe, is also known for the best hotel that is located in the most secure area of Haiti. Even the White House of United States actually awarded them back in 2009.

If you are going to Haiti, and you want to stay at a luxurious, fun and accommodating place. don't think twice, "Hotel Karibe". The Place to be.

I like to spend my saturdays here when we don't go to the beach. I love the liberty style of the hotel (so far the best hotel in PauP, yes, even better than Oasis and Best Western) and its gigantic trees calm nerves down! I have never visited the rooms of the hotel, nor the SPA but friends that did never reported disappointments, just pricey. Good service.
The pool area is accessible for the day for 30USD with meal included, that means you have a menu and you can eat up to the entrance fee. It's a good idea and good value. The pool is clean, nice, there's a swim up bar. My only advice is not to get there in the hottest hours of the day as it is in a depression on the hill and wind does not blow enough no breathe! It gets busy on the weekend, a lot of couple with children or UN staff, but overall it's still relaxing. I know they also play tennis. The food is good and not expensive, the service is very good (only been disappointed once).

Weekends are best spent hanging out by the poolside of Hotel Karibe. Non-hotel guests can use the swimming pool for a consumable $30 fee. That's a sparkling clean pool with a swim-up bar ...yes, a swim-up bar that serves delicious piña coladas, amaretto sours and mojitos just to name a few. The service staff are very attentive and will come up to you to take your drink and food orders but are not offensively in-your-face. The food is delicious and you have to try the grilled shrimp salad, croque monsieur, barbecue ribs and the grilled steak!

There is a spa which takes reservations for massages which are deliriously relaxing but the prices are extremely prohibitive bordering on insane. Even the mani-pedi prices are very expensive.
