I stayed at Neita's Nest in the Fall 2010. It is in a quiet area just outside Kingston with beautiful views of the hills and ocean. Michelle the owner is a delightful lady who makes sure that you are well taken care of. Amazing hospitality. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room very nice with a great view. Very personal flexible service. A little tricky to get in to central Kingston without car or taxi. Well cooked food, both traditional and more international dishes.

Neita's Nest is in a quiet picturesque area of St Andrew just adjacent to Kingston, Jamaica. While beautiful and relaxing, the location can make getting into the city proper a bit difficult without a car. The room was clean and quiet and WIFI made working very convenient. Michelle, the proprietress, is knowledgeable and well connected and will always have suggestions for places to see and things to do.

If you're on an extended stay be sure to ask up front about costs for meals (lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks) and laundry. Ask about setting up car rentals and transportation.

Overall it was a wonderful experience.

The view from the veranda is relaxing especially when enjoying the morning breakfast. I opted for the local dishes and was pleased with the delicious fare provided in generous portions and served as if for a king. Neita's, which is located in Stony Hills, provided me easy access to Kingston and also allowed me the ability to make day trips to Jamaica's central and eastern north coast including the cities of Port Antonio and Ocho Rios. The proprietor, Michelle Neita, was quite courteous and readily accessible.

I cannot say enough about this amazing place. Incredibly tranquil in a beautiful lush setting. The views of stony hill are fantastic. You feel very far from it all yet it only takes a few minutes to get to the center of the city. The host Michelle is really wonderful and engaging when you want to chat but leaves you alone when you want quiet time. She is also very knowledgeable about kingston and where to get things; for example i needed to get orchids for a friend and she gave me the number to call. I needed to get a pants hemmed and she told me the place. It seems as if she knows everyone in that town. Comfortable good nights sleep. The breakfast was simple but delicious.

As it is in the mountains there is lots of opportunity for morning and afternoon walks along some quiet roads or trails if you wish--this beat the gym workout.

A very special thing was that a couple nights before I left she had an impromptu gathering of her friends and we all sat on the balcony under the full moon and shared some great wine and cheese and good company. I would not hesitate to recommend this place as a home away from home and at the price--it is a bargain.

And you are "The Guest", SK, and a perfect one too. Besides being appreciative of all that we offer, you were so gracious in being equally good company among our other guests. Happy to have you as our guest anytime.

And that coffee, that dark roasted, freshly-brewed Authentic Jamaican Coffee! We are delighted that you love it too.

Cheers,
Michelle.
