Description: Pier 1 is Montego Bay's most pulsating open-air Seafood Restaurant, Bar and Entertainment Center that has been in operation since 1986. It is located on a picturesque peninsula in the heart of the bay allowing diners the perfect view for watching the cruise liners disappear into a brilliant sunset. Our restaurant is well known for its fusion of the intoxicating Jamaican Flavors by offering a wide variety of seafood dishes including the Pier 1 Lobster, our famous Coconut Shrimp and the Grilled Mahi-Mahi to name a few. For the lovers of the land, our menu captures the best of the Jamaican cuisine. From our perfectly Grilled Beef Tenderloin to the island favorite of Braised Oxtail, our vast menu has something for everyone. Like with our dishes, our four signature nights have found a way to fuse Jamaicans and Visitors by offering a unique entertainment package. “Pier One”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

Went there late Friday night. The location was pretty cool. Music and dancing were fun. Some of the guys there were hard to convince that you're not interested and made me uncomfortable.

“Nice young club.”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

My fam and friends went here one night. It was a lot of young folks in the crowd. We kind of excused ourselves through the crowd and headed towards the OPEN AIR Pier. We chilled on the Pier for most of the night. The actual club portion was packed. The drinks were okay nothing to write home about. The islanders showed us a good time. If you're into smoking the ooh wee, then there was a lot of it there. As soon as we hit the pier guys were asking us if we needed some. It was definitely in the air. We had a fun time. It's definitely more for the younger crowd (20 something's). Oh! There was a $10 cover charge. Good music too.

Hello,
We are glad you had a nice time when you partied with us this month. Hope when you visit our lovely island again you return to our venue.
I do just want to point out that "ooh wee" is not condoned by the establishment.

Happy Holidays!

“Good food, nice lunch!!!”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

We stopped here on our trip to Montego Bay, The restaurant is open air and spacious. they have a large bar in the middle. The roof is thatch. It is looks like what you think a Jamaican restaurant should look like. The bathrooms are relatively clean, and maintained. The bay serves cold adult beverages and delicious Jamaican coffee. My son and I were hungry so we ordered some lunch. I got the Jerked Chicken, and my son got some kind of stew they were both absolutely delicious. the portions were big, the prices were not cheap but it was good food and a good value. This was a good dining experience, and would recommend it....HAPPY TRAVELS!!

“Go here get a shake down”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

My friends and I went to pier 1. As soon as we get there a guy makes a friend in our group disappear into a dark room ..... only an hour later he reappears . He proceeds to tell us about how they forced him to get $$$$ out of an ATM . These guys looked pretty rough and stated "he had no choice and they worked for the club " . Normally he would have told them to take a hike but he was trapped in a car down a dark road. We left immediately after! We got taken for $300 total thanks to his ATM Dailey limit. I'm just hoping this review will save you from our situation . Good luck be safe !

First let me say I am sorry for the experience that you had.
We take the security of our venue and patrons very seriously. We have been in operation for our 20 years and we pride ourselves on maintaining a very safe and secure venue. Upon approaching the venue, we have 3 brightly lit parking lots with security and at our entrance gate there are armed security that have been with us for over 10 years. We also utilize closed circuit cameras that capture images from all angles inside the club.

To address your post, which I must say has us totally baffled.
Firstly, you claimed that your friend was taken into a dark room upon entry. The only instance we had where we asked a patron to step into our meeting room, which is located directly at the entrance, was to confiscate marijuana.
Secondly, we only have one entrance (for security purposes on Friday nights) were at anytime there are at least 2 police officers and 3 Security guards.
According to your email, your friend was taken to a dark room, forced out of the club into a car to be taken to an ATM that was located on a dark road with some rough looking guys. We have checked our tapes and cannot see anything closely resembling this.

If you would like to give us some more details on this we would be more than happy to respond.
