My daughter and I recently visited Doctor's Cave Beach and were not impressed. It was way too crowded, which may have been passengers from a cruise ship. Having been to Negril, Jamaica beach the day before, we were disappointed and wasted $6 each on entrance fee. We left w/in 30 min. and walked down to Margaritaville for the rest of the day. If you're going on a cruise, you don't really have a choice of beaches to visit before getting back on ship - another reason I would never do a cruise.

The coral reef that is off Doctor's Cave Beach is phenomenal! Teeming with life such as tiger fish, anemones, urchins, etc, it is a definite "must-do" if you go to Jamaica!

Beautiful beach, very nice but it is slightly small. We enjoyed our time there it's 6usd per person to enter unless you can buy a pass from your hotel for about 5usd which is what we did. Nice beach and if you don't want to pay for the umbrellas there are a few trees to catch some shade under!

My family and I have have visited this beach 3 times over the past 2 years and Have been satisfied every time. Grab a cab and take a 15 min ride from the port to the beach. You will have to pay to enter the beach area and rent a chair and umbrella. If it's a clear day I would highly recommend renting the umbrella. If you plan on spending the day there like we did the extra shade will come in handy. There is a bar right on the beach and a small wait staff that will take care of you. This is a much cheaper option than what the cruise lines want to charge you for a beach that is literally next door to this one.

This beach is fine if you are on a stop over in Montego Bay, but any longer than that and I would suggest visiting a beach that is bigger, less crowded and one where you don't have to pay for everything!! The beach is really only a small stretch of sand … Watching the sunset was the highlight!
