Our first time at Half Moon - and certainly not the last time. Perfect hotel for anyone looking for a great, relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle. The scenery, atmosphere and service is exquisite! We stayed in the West cottage 158 with ocean front porch. The traditional style and sensitive integration of these 10 small cottages in a beautiful beach environment seems naturally grown and feels like an authentic witness of HalfMoon's rich history - rather than just a super-sized interpretation of so many mass-tourism "resort malls" in this area.
HalfMoon offers all services and amenities of a modern hotel, from sport, spa, cuisine and adventure - but all that with a flair of "the good old times" (e.g. Piano player in the lobby) and a upscale scenery.
Having said that, HalfMoon not Miami's Fontainebleau. If you are looking for trendy club scene and spring break - HalfMoon is not your destination. But if you are looking for a few days away from it all, you might find yourself at this wonderful place.
As a side note: Nice things have their price. We did not purchase the all-inclusive plan and felt that this was the right choice for us as we have been touring around the island quite a bit. Food/beverage cost can add up quickly.
