“Excellent Accomodations”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate the group that I was with.
The food was very good and the pastry was delightful. Hotel security was very friendly and prevented any outsiders from infringing upon the hotel's private beach. I intend to bring a small group back to this hotel because it exceeded our expectations.

The Seagarden Beach Resort is a quaint, clean, and fairly quiet resort.

Most staff are friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kevaughan, the bell boy, the day staff at the front desk, the entertainment staff, the buffet staff, and the beach staff who helped make our trip so pleasant.

As previously mentioned, the food selection is somewhat limited but always delicious. Our only issue was overeating.

The beach is small but never overcrowded. The swimming area is like a large ocean pool. There is no undercurrent and I always felt safe swimming there. If you go past the roped off area make sure that you wear water shoes although you will not need them in the roped in area.

Our only issue was being constantly harassed by the local people when you go off resort. They can be relentless. Again, this is outside of the resorts control. The resort is within walking distance to the "Hip Strip" but there is a nice gift shop within the resort. It is a bit pricier then the strip but it is very convenient.

There is a beautiful view of the sunset from the beach. There is as well a beautiful sunrise from the pool view rooms facing the hillside.

The resort is still a work in progress and will only get better.

We had a late flight and arrived at the resort 30 mins before the dinner was to be served.
The staff was amazing and we were immediately greeting by Kevon( later we would realize it was actually Kevaughn as I thought ) with a courteous smile and offer getting us beverages for we must be thirsty from the plain ride.
We got a nice pool side balcony view and the room was large, even though we spent most of the vacation by the beach and the sun it was nice to have a great room to come back to and relax in before heading out on the adventures.
This was the first trip together to Jamaica and it was amazing and the staff was very knowledgeable on what to see and where to go.
Must say great place and Percy was also an amazing greeter whenever we went to our room. I suggest to take full advantage of the pool side bar and the food service pool side if you enjoy just relaxing.

Ya mon everyting IRIE
Chris

We stayed at the Seagarden from Apr. 12 - 19th and absolutely loved everything about the resort. After a 5 min drive from the airport, a quick welcome beverage and we were off to the lovely little beach. Yes, it's across the street but that's not a big deal as there's a crossing guard to stop traffic every time. Plus the beach is like a big salt water pool, we loved it and spent most of our time there. The beach bar is great and Stainton does a wonderful job making great drinks and entertaining all. If you don't want to leave the beach for lunch you just ask Stainton for a burger and fries and a waiter will deliver it to your lounger on the beach! The food was always delicious, the staff was top notch, and the grounds were lovely. It's a very small resort but we like that and it's old world charm. We had an ocean view room and yes there is noise from the street but we felt it added to our Jamaican experience. We met wonderful new friends at the Seagarden with whom we hired Pablo to take us to Negril. We highly recommend Pablo....felt very safe with him and he gave us a great tour. Hope to return someday.

I stayed in this resort with my wife for four days.
At the arrival we had to wait for the room (the check-in was at 3 pm) but we immediately enjoyed of the pool bar and the restaurant. At 2:30 pm we had the key of our BIG room with the pool-garden view!
The first thing we noticed was the cleaning of the entire resort. Great the staff and the Animation!
The beach is a little paradise and there is a bar in the case you want to drink a cocktail!
The food was tasty also if there was not a great choice. Anyway we tasted here a very good Lasagna!
As negative aspects: there wasn't the hairdryer and the snacks were not available at all the hours.

Thank you to all the staff at the Sea Garden. From the moment we
exited our shuttle from the Airport which was a 5 minute ride and the welcoming handshake
from Peter, we were thrilled.
The week was perfect. Sunshine every day and the warm Caribeaan Sea, soft sand and
smiling faces who could ask for more.
The food was excellent though not a huge selection. I agree with other reviews about
perhaps providing some sort of snack station .
Breakfast from 7-10am and lunch 12-2 supper served 7-10pm leaves some on holiday
needing snacks in the late afternoon.
Staiton at the beach bar, Shamon at the Pool Bar and T'Rex were outstanding. You all deserve
a huge Thank you for making each and everyone who visits Sea Garden smile.
We stayed in a ocean front room and luved it but like others have said it can certainly be noisey
and the guys who hang there along the street from really early morning's shouting up
to your balcony the moment you step out is probably the only negative. Although it is
out of the Resorts control. They do not represent Montego Bay in a Positive way.
We walked Hip Strip and ate at Bigg's and enjoyed a lovely sunset with some new friends
we met while on Resort and can recommend it without hesitation.
I have travelled to Jamaica 4 times and each time I return home, relaxed and yearning for
a return visit. I look forward to visiting Sea Garden again and seeing the resort and all the wonderful changes that are forthcoming.

Just got back from the greatest vacation. The staff at the Sea Garden were second to none. The beach is private and the water is warm and teeming with sea life. Be sure and bring your snorkel and mask. The food is excellent and it was a great selection. Ordering a la carte for breakfast was a great bonus. The serving staff remembers you and your preferences. Bring your own snacks though. Pricey at the store on site. They make you feel special. My husband's birthday was during our stay. The front desk staff requested our room be decorated for us. They did a great job with petals and towel swans. We can't wait to return. Hopefully all of the upcoming renovations don't price this out of our range.
Thanks Sea Garden - hope to see you again real soon!
