It is truly a little gem of Montego Bay, I would say a high 4 star resort, but give it time and it would be a 5 star. Upon check in, with Nadine, we felt that they wanted to give us that extra treatment, also kudos to Roland, and Albert Jump (restaurant manager). The oasis restaurant had amazing food, be it from breakfast to supper, only draw back we thought that it took a little bit too long to receive the food, but beside that it was great service and well worth the wait.
As for the beach, it was very clean and well taken care of. If they could do something about the weeds, it would truly be an amazing beach, you just have to find the sandy part of the beach, the private beach was very nice but again the weeds were an issue.
The staff, throughout the resort were amazing, from housekeeping to the bartenders at the oasis restaurant.
We thought the rooms were a little small, had a 2nd floor east wing cabana room, but had an amazing view, and how long are you in the room for anyways?
The entertainment at sunset beach, was a 7 out of 10.......and we thought the pool was too cool for our liking, so it was the beach most of the time. The food was good at the Asian and Italian restaurant, not impressed with the Caribbean fusion. If you care for a romantic dinner, do the lobster dinner on the beach, amazing.
Upon checkout, we forgot the lock for the safe, as I was making my way back to the room, I met the housekeeper and she gave me the lock, along with my ipod that I forgot in the safe, so triple kudos to housekeeping.
We heard that they are working on putting a pool and another restaurant in the near future, we think this would greatly enhanced the resort.
Would we go back, yes, just because the staff cared about the travellers.
Again many thxs to Nadine, Albert, Roland and Ernest (who kept the drinks going at the oasis bar), see you soon, ya mon :)

Room Tip: Choose the east wing, less noisy

My husband and I just wanted to get away for a log weekend and lay in the sun. Oasis was a perfect spot for us. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food and atmosphere were excellent. Relaxed setting and beautiful dining room overlooking the beach. The rooms could be updated, but were very clean. The beach was quiet, beautiful and comfortable.
We would dedinitley return and would recommend this place to friends.

This was our first time in Jamaica. We have been to a number of other islands and no place can compare to the friendly helpful people of Jamaica. We are a retired couple and found the Oasis very peaceful and restful.
On arrival we felt very welcomed and pampered. Nadine Bowen (Head Concierge) and her staff could not have been more helpful. She was always available to handle our every need.
All meals were served with first class dining. American breakfast was offered daily with eggs cooked any way you liked. They even offer gluten free pancakes. Albert Jump and Head Chef Conrad went above & beyond our expectations. The staff was incredible - we had some fun times and came away feeling like family.
We had an Ocean Front room which was very clean & nicely decorated. The mini bar was stocked daily with red stripe, water and soda drinks.
There is no shortage of lounge chairs along the white sandy beach or at one of the many pools.
The grounds are well maintained with new shrubs etc being planted.
Although renovations were taking place we did not find this disruptive in the least.
The Oasis at Sunset rates very high as a resort we recommend to anyone. The Mays

The staff at the Oasis was BEYOND hospitable! The Oasis clientele are able to enjoy amenities at the Sunset side too, so you can make your trip as quiet/exclusive or upbeat/social as you want! You can enjoy the private beach or the more lively side. The food at the Oasis was also spectacular. I just wish the menu changed at lest twice a week and the lunch hours were longer. But everything was delicious!

We spent a week on the cliffs near Negril but wanted something closer to the airport for our last day. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. on Monday and left at 10:00 on Tuesday. Nadine greeted us upon arrival and was extremely friendly and accomodating, as were most of the staff we encountered. This is a newly renovated resort and the rooms are a bit dated but nicely furnished and clean (Bed was really comfortable). We booked a regular room but were upgraded to an oceanfront ... I would recommend paying extra and getting an oceanfront room.
The food was better than average for an all-inclusive. Very nice beach (the "Oasis Only" beach was quite remote and the beach wasn't nearly as nice as Sunset).
Wi-fi was hit or miss in our room ... no big deal for us because we were only there 24 hours.

Couple of things to note:
There is no wait staff serving drinks by the pools or on the beach if this is something you are used to while on vacation.
The only smoking areas are in front of the resort or just outside the casino. No smoking on the balconies. This could be a pro or con based on your smoking preference.

We liked the fact that the resort was close to the airport but not directly on the Hip Strip. We would stay here again.
