“Wonderful, relaxed, adult only hotel.”
Reviewed 17 November 2011

From the moment I arrived and looked from the reception area out to sea and across the beach I knew this was a special hotel. The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever come across. I felt very safe here as the beach is enclosed by two penisulars so it is very safe to swim. The beach is golden and spacious and I loved the complimentary rum punch every day between 11am and 12 noon! They also offered complimentary tea on the terrace at 4pm - a nice touch. The rooms are lovely and all have large outside, shaded terraces where you are encouraged to take your breakfast (at a small extra charge of $5, well worth it!) The food was very good and the evening menu changes daily so no chance of getting bored with the choice on offer. This is a really peaceful, get away from it all hotel which I would return to in an instant.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea views but if you want to spoil yourselves go for a Premier Verandah Suite right o...

This was our first time there. What a truly wonderful 5 night vacation. My wife and I enjoyed it so much. There truly is no bad room in the place. We had the balcony cabin and were perfectly happy. Nice seclusion with the upper level balcony. We enjoyed a couple of breakfasts on the balcony which is truly magical. Staff was as advertised. Everyone from the top managers to even the grounds crew were extremely friendly. Special shout outs to Desmond, Johnson, Cecil (our driver to and from the airport and a couple of shopping/lunch outings), and Tony for some nice outings on the water. Wish the fish were biting. Next time for sure. Dinner each night was magical with great food and service and some great dinner music from the house band. Thanks Jamaica Inn. We will be back.

Room Tip: Every room is top quality. So don't have any worries if you choose the basic balcony suite (the...

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left everything was perfect!! The most beautiful room with outdoor living area. Private cove, Great food. Totally romantic. The brochure we had looked good, but the place was even better. Staff was wonderful, attentive and very friendly. The couples massage on the cliffs was sooo wonderful

Room Tip: All rooms are good. We stayed in a deluxe, with direct access to the beach. There are Premier room...

This is a great place to relax with your spouse or another significant other. Staff is very attentive. I would recommend a trip to Dunn's River and some snorkeling with Tony (captain of the "Little Children" boat). Mystic Mountain trip for zip lining and bobsledding is also fun. Both trips take no more than 2.5 hours, but you have a lot of fun and it breaks up the day. Make sure you consult with the front desk as to when all the cruise ships come into port so you can take advantage of smaller crowds at Dunn's River.
Food at the hotel is fantastic!! Even Kate Moss stops by to have lunch there - we said hello to her while she was on the beach with her daughters, a friend and a nanny. The only one downside is that dinner dessert menu is a bit limited, but that is a very small drawback. It rained at least once a day but for a very short period of time. Enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Premier Verandah at the Beach Wing is supremen!!

So I'm catching up on all the reviews I should have written in the past year. I had the pleasure of visiting Jamaica Inn in January with my husband. From arrival at MoBay airport I knew we had made the right decision. The driver who greeted us was so friendly, and we talked the entire 1.5 hour ride up, with him stopping for rest room breaks, having water and Red Stripe waiting for us, and telling us all the highlights of the ride up. Having been to Jamaica about 10 times, I was hoping to not have the traditional all inclusive experience - no conga lines, etc. That is not JI. Everyone there is spectacular and truly happy you are there. Our room was perfect, right over the water where we fed the fish. On our second day, we got an emergency call from home and had to cut our trip short. This is where JI shined, and proved without a doubt their specialness. With an impending snowstorm, we had to leave that day. Within minutes the staff was there to help. They called the airline and secured tickets for us from Kingston. Came to our room and helped us pack and scramble to get all our belongings together. Had a car immediately there to take us to KIN. Mary and the pups came to wish us well and sent us off with a gift. As if this wasn't enough, they refunded the remaining part of our trip with no penalties, without us asking. I was floored. To find this level of service, along with a true caring and sense of ownership among staff is close to impossible to find. While the ride to Kingston airport was interesting to say the least, we had another great driver who made the almost 3 hour ride bearable, and got our minds off the situation at home.
I loved JI and can't wait to get back.
In the short time we were there we enjoyed the small but pristine beach, the cocktail reception,(the coconut snacks are so good, I'm still trying to replicate them), and meals. The chef made his evening rounds and was really interested in getting to know you. As we were interested in getting to know him, it was a perfect match. Breakfast is great too - ackee is a great veggie alternative to eggs! And the coffee, well, it is Blue Mountain.
This is the antithesis of 'club' type resorts, and has charm, character and your visit really counts. I highly recommend it.
For an AI of this level it is a great value.

Room Tip: Premier Verandah Suites had huge balconies overlooking the water where you can have breakfast/snacks...

What a find! Beautiful location and way to enjoy the "old Jamaica" without the brashness of the large resort properties. Serene and elegant. Heartily recommend.
