Stayed at The Jamaica Inn for 3 nights in May 2014, and enjoyed all aspects of the hotel.
I stayed in a cottage with a plunge pool, and it was amazing. The dressing area could use more light, this was the only thing I found lacking. The accommodations are superb, the meals were so amazing, served with a smile, the beach is beautiful. All of the rooms have views of the ocean, my cottage had views from three very large windows.
Evening entertainment was low key, but this is just what you want while you are enjoying dinner. The tables were set up so you had privacy and did not feel like you were on top of anyone.
The staff is amazing, they all seem happy to be there, and this makes all the difference. If you want a real relaxing holiday with good food and impeccable service, this is the place to for you.

Room Tip: If you like lots of space, do the cottages, if not the ocean front rooms are wonderful.

After arriving at Jamaica Inn, following our wedding in Paris, we were greeted by one of the owners who promised we’d be delighted by our experience.

He did not exaggerate. If you’re looking for an alternative to Mauritius or the Maldives for your honeymoon, I can wholeheartedly recommend the timeless elegance of Jamaica Inn. The resort was quite full, but far from the maddening crowds of Sandals or Couples, and we still had plenty of space where we could be alone to soak up the romance of the occasion.

You can dress up if you feel like it, but it never gets stuffy. Food is good and generous, wine is reasonable. Service is exemplary; and it’s all delivered to a reggae beat with a great big smile!

We discovered that many of the guests are repeat offenders who are happy to wax lyrical about their adventures at the Inn. My new bride Anne-Marie and I were treated royally, and we've now set our sights on a return visit to celebrate our anniversary next year.

Those were the words of owner Peter Morrow when he greeted us upon our arrival at Jamaica Inn. And he was absolutely right! Jamaica Inn is all about an incredible feeling of luxury in a perfectly maintained 1950's setting. The staff, the food, the rooms, the private beach, the ocean views . . . . all perfect! If watching the sunrise on your private veranda while sipping coffee and eating your made-to-order room service breakfast, you get it! if watching the sunset on the patio with cocktail in hand while Frank Sinatra croons in the background sounds like a nice way to end the day, you get it. If you are one of the 4 reviewers that rated Jamaica Inn as terrible because there was no flatscreen television in your room, sorry, you don't get it!

We just spent 4 nights in room #57 and we'll be back soon. Thanks Peter and staff

Room Tip: Ask for a room that isn't adjacent to the lobby if you are a light sleeper.

I stayed at a Cottage accommodation on the beach at the Jamaica Inn. It is beautiful in every respect. The quiet elegance, the extraordinary appointments and room décor for the ultimate comfort in the bedroom, bath and living areas, is 5 star. The outside covered patio, dining area, infinity pool and gardens at the cottage are amazing. The only sounds you hear are the birds, wind, waves and breezes....no TV and no forced music.
The clientele are appreciative of the quiet atmosphere as one of the key attributes to a true vacation. There are expected formalities for dinner and activities, but it is done tastefully without the "bling" associated with other high-end resorts.
There is a sense of history, and magic and classic British colonial beauty that only this resort has been able to capture. Highly recommended in every way for Comfort, Service and Natural Beauty.

Room Tip: Any cottage is a true treat, but standard rooms which are ocean front will WOW anyone...this is not...

Enjoyed our weeks holiday so much that we are already planning to return in November this year. The room was kept immaculate with fresh flowers in all rooms. There was 2 complimentary bottles of water in the room and a bottle of wine. On our arrival we were given a rum punch, most welcome after a long flight and a 2hour taxi transfer from MBA. The view from the room was perfect with only the sound of the birds and the ocean. We went all inclusive and enjoyed every meal that we had.- everyone was so friendly and attentive throughout the hotel. We had lunch on the beach a couple of times the menu was good and the waiter service excellent. It was good to speak to the owners and management on a daily basis, they are very proactive and don't hide behind office doors. A place of tranquility and calm with a true sense that you belong to their family

Room Tip: A ground floor Junior Suite with direct access to the beach.

We spent 4 nights at the Jamaica Inn that was just perfect. The room with the veranda and the view was just perfect. I think all the rooms has a nice view. The staff is perfect, always smiling and polite. Mr. Peter, the owner was everyday in the morning nearby the front desk taking care of the guests. He recommend a day trip to Frenchman's Cove and give all the tips! Congratulations to these cozy hotel that certainly is the best of Ocho Rios! Will miss these great time.

Stayed 5-23-5/26
Our trip started off rocky due to the heavy rain at the MBJ airport. Our plane was re-routed to Kingston Airport and then re-routed back to MBJ airport. Our 3 1/2 hour travel turned into an 8 hour flight travel. My husband and I were not in the best of spirits. I spoke with Shenae at the front desk several times and she made sure our driver would wait. Driver Mr. Cecil waited the additional 4 hours us at the airport. Once we arrived Mr. Cecil drove us to the hotel with soothing reggae music that calm our aggrevated nerves. Shenae made sure we spoke with dining so dinner would be delivered to our room when we arrive at 10pm. The gentlemen in dining said our meal would be delivered 10 mins after 10...10 mins after 10pm our dinner was delivered to our Verandah. When we finally arrived Shenae said, " welcome home drop your bags you do nothing else from this point". Kingsley took us to our room. Out all the staff we encountered at the Jamaica Inn, Kingsley and Shenae left the biggest impression on my husband and I. Both were kind, calming, happy, informative...just outstanding!! Bartendar Palmer made the BEST drinks. Yolanda and Pauline from the Ocean Spa were amazing during our 50min couples massage. I liked Icolyn from housekeeping. She was polite, didn't say much, but our room was immaculate when she was done. The food was delicious, served hot everytime. Every waiter that delivered our food was awesome, every single waiter. For a first Mommy and Daddy trip with out our 3 children Jamaica Inn made it a great trip. I could go on and on, but I'll simply finish by saying Jamaica Inn is the BEST place to go.

Room Tip: The BEST rooms are the Premier Verandah Suites in the Beach Wing, rooms 41-48. We were in room #45...
