“Our favourite holiday destination filled with relaxation, breath taking views in a location fit for a queen”
Reviewed 4 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The views are second to none. If you love watching the sunrise, there is no better place than here. On a clear morning you can see the majestic blue mountains of Jamaica. Combined with the sunrise, it is like your own "heaven here on earth" location. The staff are amazing and do everything they can to make you feel like you never want to leave. Sharon and her helper Paula kept our bellies fed with their delicious cooking. Each day we were excited to try something different (or in some cases, the same .....like her jerk chicken, festival bread etc lol. Cutty is one of a kind. An amazing man with such a good soul. He was able to take us everywhere we wanted to go and always did it with a smile. His knowledge of Jamaica is so helpful when trying to decide where to go and what to do. If he lived in the same city as us, he would be someone I would be sitting with having coffee and chit chatting daily. We all have a good friend in this gentleman. Devon and Johnny are also extremely helpful and so willing to jump in as soon as you need anything.

The owners Pam and Ed ensure that you have a place that you will want to go back to (this was our second time there). Their home is a true Jamaican experience that is not only located in an amazing location, it is also beautiful. Each day waking up was done with a smile because you know you are in paradise. Pam provided so much info prior to travelling about what we may want to check out such as the turtle release.....omg!!! We loved this. This was my husbands first time there and for someone that never wanted to travel........let me say this place changed his mind. He absolutely loved it.

My daughter got married here and Pam set everything up for us. What a relief to know we didn't have to do a thing.....just show up and pay a modest fee to the Pastor and manager of the property next door where the ceremony was held. You will not find a better location in all of Jamaica. We loved, loved, loved it. So happy we choose here for the wedding. Thank you to Pam and Ed for everything, you made this day so special.

“This was the BEST vacation EVER!”

My girl friends and I stayed at the Cabarita Lookout for a week and we had the best time ever. The house was gorgeous and we could not have asked for anything better. Cutty and Sharon (and all the others) treated us as if we were royalty. Cutty drove us everywhere and told us all about the island, the people, the plants and animals, and never took us anywhere we did not feel safe. Sharon cooked us wonderful meals and took such good care of the house and all our needs. If you want to see Jamaica, this is the only way to go. I can't wait to visit again and lay by the pool, or sit on the balcony and look at the gorgeous views.
Please do not hesitate one bit in renting this house, you will be amazed! And Pam will be right there to answer all your questions and to make sure your vacation will be wonderful!

“Heaven on earth”

Cabarita Lookout was a great experience for our family and friends. We stayed during the week of Thanksgiving and it truly was a 5 star experience! Cutty, Sharon, Johnny, Devan and Pam were so inviting and made our stay truly the Jamaican experience! We plan to visit every year! We loved that it was secluded in a local mountain and we had home cooked meals daily from Sharon. Cutty was an amazing tour guide and so full of history of the culture. We will never forget our first stay in Jamaica, it will always be in our heart!

“Fantastic vacation, villa is outstanding”
Reviewed 28 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Where to start? We wanted a vacation of the beaten path and we got it. We first spent 2 night in Negril to experiment different places in Jamaica then Cutty picked us up in Montego Bay in the afternoon. Pleasant ride to the Villa, we stopped for some Jerk chicken on our way there and were able to have a chat with local people from the restaurant. We were pleasantly suprised to find the Villa on top of this hill with a spectacular view. Sharron was waiting for us with a superb dinner. We felt like home, we were 3 couples with each our owed private bedroom, pool just across the rooms and sheep's roaming the hills, what a perfect spot.
every day after breakfast, Cutty the Villa manager and driver, drove us to several places, Black sand Beach was the highlight of our trip. trips to grocery store, beaches, visit of Port Maria village and relax by the pool. We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa. For those of you that wants to be close to the beach, it's the only inconvenient, the Villa is isolated up the hill and you need to drive to beaches when you want to go but hey... we're there to relax and have fun so what is a 15-30 minutes drive to see the scenery.

“This place is Amazing!”

My family and I visited the Cabarita Lookout August 1st - August 8th. This was the most amazing vacation we have ever experienced. This home is beautiful inside and out. The pictures do not depict the beauty of this lovely home. We did not want to leave. We feel in love with Sharon the cook and Cutty the driver. They both were very nice and accommodating. Cutty speaks very highly of the owner Pam. There was one minor issue with ants at night but it was not a deal breaker. Just feeling the nice fresh breeze at night and being able to breathe the unpolluted air paid for it all. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation experience!

“Beautiful Remote Villa”

This home is a beautiful setting and very large, we arrived to the secluded private setting to a fantastic evening and lovely meal made by Sharon, she is great. Cutty was at the airport as described by Pam and we went to the market for groceries, they are very expensive. We bought a few things for a couple of days and picked up wine, beer ect for the vacation. The alcohol prices are really expensive wine is ridiculous, beer is not bad, 21$ for a litre of rum seems pricey.

Our next morning Sharon sat with us to discuss the menu for our first week. This is where you should ask to see the binder to go over some of the suggestions. Sharon is a wonderful cook and will do what you want. We had local fish, lobster, curry and go to Mr Browns Jerk stand it was excellent.

The house is very remote, it is about a 15 minute drive to the highway and another 20 mins to the closest beach. Be sure to ask about the beaches and do you research as we were disapointed in the suggestion made be Cutty, Bambo is 10$ per person and drinks are expensive, Marley Beach is very small but much less expensive, 3$ to get in and drinks are like 2.50 each. We never made it to the public beach in Ocho but it looks nice and is cheap, take a cooler! There looks to be a free breach past the cruise ship docks and maybe about an hour from the house. We were never told but I understand you can use the Moxon beach club for free just buy your drinks there. We read about it but were not told it was available by Cutty. Also double check on the Wifi as it was out since Feb 11/15 and we really needed it and were not told it was unavailable. Lime was finally working on the line when we were leaving.

One of the highlights for us was the Blue Hole it is lovely and we also went to the Black Sand Beach, about a 45 min fishing boat ride from the little beach at near the house that is closed. 30$ per person but worth every penny.

Over all Pam and Ed have a beatiful home here, the views are spectacular and there is lots of privacy for three couples to have there space. Sharon and Devon are rock stars and are a true joy. Be sure to do you research and let Cutty know where you want to go. He has a great knowledge but seems to only take you to a select number of places.

“AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN EXPERIENCE WRAPPED IN LUXURY :)”

From the moment Cutty met us a MoBay airport, we knew we were in for an experience of a lifetime! It was Christmas Eve , hot and were guided to a nice air conditioned van.
It was like I had known Cutty forever...following other reviews and the Face Book page for Cabarita lookout.
Pam was afraid we may miss connections along the way....since it was after all CHRISTMAS .
She sent ahead to Sharon to get us some essentials to tide us over for a couple of days....you know, important things like Christmas dinner...beer...wine..Jamaican rum :)))
Our flight was on schedule ...but it was lovely to have things ready non the less.
We stopped on route for even more supplies and goodies.

It must have been at least a 3 hour ride with some unique sights along the way, Cutty answered many questions ....probably glad we were almost home..heehee
The road up the mountain is one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
Rough, narrow,, steep...a tad intimidating to say the least ! Funny thing though , after MANY trips up and down that crazy mountain .....it kinda became soothing....a must to do each day ,

Once we arrived it was like HALALAUJHA !!!
Breathtaking views
Beautiful home
Crystal clear pool
Lush green surroundings
Beautiful furniture
Well appointed rooms
It's was just gorgeous ...words can't do it justice .....it has to be seen and experienced . We did some fun excursions. The Blue Hole was awesome, the kids just loved it. Cutty stayed with us everywhere we went. He came to the grocery stores with us.....he told us many stories on the beautiful deck around the pool in the evenings....my teenage sons listened to them all.

He took us to a small fishing village in Port Maria when we purchased two huge Mahi Mahi for New Years supper in which Sharon prepared and fried it for us YUMMY
The grounds are kept up beautifully by Devon aka " SHAKEY "....Danny & Cutty.
ZEKO the dog was a sweetheart ,,,,,we missed our boy so he helped us feel better.
He sure loves left overs !!!!
Buy the looks of his belly this morning....I thik he gained a few ....

Went to bamboo beach club and had a nice day...again,Cutty stayed with us :)
Would never recommend James Bond Beach,,,,,a run down ,bug filled mess
Did some haggling for wood and trinkets...again, under the guidance of Vincent :)
Found a fantastic new grocery store as well,
PROGRESSIVE...its in Ocho rios and very beautifully stocked with fresh meats,fish,cheese...its just like sores in Canada and Usa.

Finally I'll end this long review by saying we wanted to cry when we left Cutty at the airport today :(
He became a part of our family and we will miss him horribly !!!!
Ps we had 3 massages by racquetl
Beautiful nails done too....right at the villa !!!!! Cutty will set you up

You can't go wrong :)
Love you Vincent Cuthbert ( from all of us )

Thanks Pam And Ed !!!!!
