We just got back from our honeymoon at Couples Tower Isle (7 days), and it is best explained as exceeding our expectations! Our only reservations going into it was from other reviews regarding the age demographic and the nightlife (or lack thereof). About us, we are a 30 y/o couple, at Tower Isle for our honeymoon and are not overly demanding people. Here's our breakdown:

Travel - The airport was busy, but the Couples lounge on the other side was great. They took great care of our luggage, offered an area for changing/sitting and this is where you can grab a couple drinks for the road. We were only there for about 15 minutes before we were on our way. Yes, it's 1.5-2hr drive from the airport to the resort, but it was really cool. The driver, the entire drive, pointed out local landmarks and the history of the island. He stopped halfway for washroom break and for those who wanted to grab a drink for the remainder of the drive. These guys don't work for couples, so tipping is expected, as it is for any driver doing on off-resort excursions (ie. catamaran cruise, etc.). Otherwise, never any pressure for on-resort tipping, which was nice, service remained consistently fantastic regardless.

Room - Our room was great (block 5, 4th floor). Brilliant view of the ocean and close enough to hear the waves at night - you could toss rocks into it from the balcony. Bed was huge and comfortable, minibar was great (you can request bottles of Vodka/Rum/Whiskey or wine, juice, water...whatever) and they would restock upon your request. It doesn't always come immediately, but it'll get there. The only thing that was lacking a bit was the shower; it was reminiscent of a high school locker room shower, and the shampoo/body wash isn't the best (bring your own shampoo for sure)

Food - The food was really good for the most part. The buffet (standard, no reservations for breakfast, lunch, dinner) was good; lots of options and they switched up the menu enough where there was not a lot of repetition. It is buffet at the end of the day, but really good buffet food, and while you're seated and eating there are servers coming around to handle your drink needs. Eight Rivers is incredible...incredible! Service is over the top, food is some of the best we've ever had! The Poolside Grill (open almost all the time) is decent as well - hamburgers, grilled cheese, fries, etc. Typical pub fare, but good pub fare.

Entertainment - Amazing! The entertainment at the Saturday beach party was jaw dropping - fire breathers, dancers, contortionists...it was really good. Same with the entertainment at the main stage. Only suggestion here would be to switch up the "house" band. It was usually the same guys, really talented guys, but if you've seen it once, you've seen it. As for around the pool (swim up bar), Colleen Brown was AMAZING! Such an exceptional soul and she really knows how to engage guests and make it fun. Her Patois class was great, games, everything...she's awesome, as is her partner in crime Asha. We miss her! The Piano bar is a great place to meet up with those you've met throughout the day, listen to some amazing musicians and have a sing-a-long. The talent is great, and they keep serving until you're ready to leave. As a lot of reviews have stated, the 'nightlife' does get bleak around midnight which, to sound cliche, is standard after a full day of sun and drinks. However, if you meet the right, like-minded people and you click, you can hang out until whenever you're ready to call it a night.

Excursions - sadly, we only did one which was the catamaran cruise. Do it! It's an amazing experience with swimming, dancing, music, great scenery and delicious rum punch. Everything else was included (snorkeling, sailing, glass bottom boat, etc) however we were most content hanging out with the awesome other guests at the pool, piano bar, tower isle, etc.

The Island - You have to try this at least once. We were first timers and went on our second day, and we enjoyed it so much that went back 4 times throughout our stay. Trust us, there is nothing sexual about it and there is no comparing of body types, age, etc. You will see every body type and nothing is put on display other than everyone's personalities. If you want to be alone and secluded, you can go to the end of the island and do so. If you want to hang out with others and chat, you can hang out around the swim up pool bar. Everyone is really nice and you'll make some great friends.

Overall - If you're not generally a superficial, secluded, entitled person or couple, you will absolutely LOVE this resort. It is smaller than others we've been too, and we loved it. The best part was the people we met, which you won't get at a large resort. We met, hung out with, and are maintaining contact with, a number of couples from all ages (again, we are 30, and these couples range from 25-60). Go! Book! You will be in heaven.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you have. Cheers!

Room Tip: 2nd floor, ocean view (and up) allows you to see the beautiful view better. Block 5 is a quieter area away from the pools. Everything is 5-10 minute walk away, at most! All rooms offer A/C units which keep the room as comfortably cool as you wish.

The resort was nice and everyone was really friendly. they over booked the type of room that we booked so got upgraded but only for the first nice, this was a bummer because we couldnt unpack our first night and then had to move all of our stuff in the mid afternoon our second day. Our second room was nice but one of the chairs on the belcony broke(my husband leaned back to put his feet up on the ledge and the back cracked almost completely in half, glad he didnt get hurt) the second day in the room and we asked every day for a new one and never got one. The Piano bar smells funny and needs to be upgraded, but it was fun. For the food we never ate at Eight Rivers(didnt want to have to dress up that much! After all it is a vacation), but Bayside was absolutely fantastic and romantic!! The Verandah was excellent! The buffet had so many choices for every meal and it was always great, lobster night was amazing! The evening/night activites were great, always had great bands, had a magician one night, and we watched a movie on the beach! The only problem was there never seemed to be to many people enjoying all the entertainment, I dont know if everyone went to bed early or what, there were a good nunber of seniors there. the water activites were good, there was 2 days in a row that our snokleing got cancelled due to wind, and they use the glass bottom boat for it and its kind of hard to get in and out of and very packed. We went on the Catamaran and had a good time, wish the trip would have gone out earlier and lasted longer. The crew on it were a blast! We were there over the Super bowel and they had a good party for that. The pool with the swim up bar seemed to always be fun and have things going on but we spent most of our time on the beach. They have a great beach, but get up early to get a chair because people will put there towels down and walk a way and not come back for hours(kind of annoying). I recommend watching the crab races, it was something different and fun, and bring some $ to bet on them. We drove throught downtown one day and it looked nice and like it might be fun to walk around for a few hours, but we didnt and I wish we would have. Highly recommend climbing the Falls, but make sure you have closed toe snug fitting shoes, if you dont you can rent them for i think $7. But watch out for all the locals there trying to sell there stuff, they are a little overwhelming!

We spent 2 glorious weeks here. We were married on the beach at Couples Tower Isle and had a private meal on the private island, which I couldn't recommend enough. The food in every restaurant was fantastic. We ate at Baysde three times, and Eight Rivers twice. Every restaurant including the main buffet couldn't be faulted on either service or food.

All the staff were amazing, all so friendly, and Latoya the wedding co-ordinator deserves a special mention.

We had room 4313 and the view was fabulous. I especially loved sitting on the balcony looking over Tower Isle, glass of sparkling wine in hanf while the sun went down.

We will definitely be returning to celebrate an anniversary one day.
