Couples Tower was nice, but my husband and I enjoyed Negril much better. The most horrible part about this resort is that our camera was stolen WITHIN the resort at the 5 star restaurant. We accidentally left it on the floor (my husband placed it there during dinner) and when we went back it was no where to be found. We spoke with every manager and security guard, started an investigation and had our entire room searched to prove we were not lying, and still did not find our honeymoon pictures. It wasn't the camera we cared about, it was the entire two weeks of memories we had, but they did not seem to concerned. I lost my camera December 26th, 2013 and STILL have no word as "they are still investigating the matter" and "insurance will cover the camera" I am so disappointed. The amenities were OK, lots of activities and buses to take you out during the day, but no real feel of jamaica like we had in Negril. And I don't believe this would have ever happened at the Sunset Resort. I really don't mean to bad talk Couples Tower Isle just bc of our camera being stolen, we weren't that satisfied before it happened, but that just topped the cake. I will never go back there again. If anyone reading this has any information on our camera, please email me at lauren3129@gmail.com. Thank you.

Dear L K,

Thank you for trying Couples Tower Isle after staying at our Negril properties. Sorry to hear that your camera went missing at our Eight Rivers restaurant. Management assured me considerable empathy was expressed. A thorough investigation was completed by our security team and there were no conclusive findings. Sorry for the unfortunate news. If we happen to locate your item, we will contact you via email.

Abraham Issa

Just returned from our trip June 9-18 2014 and it was wonderful. The resort is very nice but was somewhat dated. I will say that the staff was EXCEPTIONAL!!! From the bartenders, waiters, groundskeepers, reception staff to the water sports and entertainment people, it made up for any dated ammenties. We were treated to a fun filled trip with never a dull moment. You could relax all day or be as busy as you wanted. The way the staff made us feel was so warm and welcome, from mentioning us by name and asking us constantly if there was anything we needed. Couples Tower should be very proud of their entire staff for their professional manner, kindness and caring manner. It was had good entertainment and lots of excursions included in the price. We enjoyed scuba, snorkeling, catamaran cruise, Dunns River.

Just to start with i need to say we have never experienced such a service even though we have already been to many places in the world. Whole service was just perfect. I cant even recall small thing which wasn't perfect . I think Paradise is the best word to describe this place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for 5 star service in picturesque village of Ocho Rios. If you want to escape from people and move to more secluded or isolated place you can simply take a boat and go to nude island as you have access from your hotel. This island is a property of the hotel so you can feel more than welcome to go there. Great food, amazing jamaican people and relaxing atmosphere- this is what you get when you go there. Simply the best.

This review is way overdue, but we stayed here for our Honeymoon, late August through early September in 2012. We had a wonderful experience and loved how friendly all the staff were. This was our first adventure outside of the states for us as a couple, but they made everything as easy as possible on us. We went to Margaritaville during their weekly evening outing on the hotel bus (free), it was a little more of a club type atmosphere than we had anticipated, but we had fun none the less. We felt fairly safe as they had a big staff of people go with us that kept an eye on everybody the whole time. (You will be asked if you are interested in buying some various drugs by the locals, just be firm and consistent on telling them polity that you aren't interested, smokers beware though that you will be asked for a cigarette about every 5 mins) We also went on the horseback ride through the ocean (I think it was around $75 per person) for my Birthday on the 31st, that was a great time as well, although I got given a hard time for not being very experienced with riding. :) We also went to Dunn River Falls (free), beautiful but definitely commercialized, and the people selling stuff through the village at the end are insane about making a sale and very aggressive. In short, the food was good, even with my husband was happy and he is super picky (meat and potatoes), and the drinks weren't too bad as well (get a Pina Colada or coconut water). We also liked the in room dining option and the fact that we had our own mini fridge and hard liquor delivered to the room by request. We had an ocean view, but not a suite room, but no complaints here as that was enough for us. I would shell out the extra cash for an ocean view, it was wonderful waking up to that and having coffee on the balcony. The only thing that we will say did get a little boring was the fact that the beach was so small, don't get me wrong we enjoyed it, but as we are planning our next vacation to Jamaica we will be heading to the other side of the island and staying at Couples Negril to enjoy the 7 mile beach. Although, I guess what comes with that will be more soliciting, since it isnt completely private there. I say if you are looking for less of a party atmosphere and more of a couples get away and just enjoying time with each other this is the place for you. Also, they have some locals that come to sell handcrafted goods, word of advice haggle, haggle, haggle. They are going to try to get you to pay for something for what they think they can get out of you, ie; I wanted to purchase a bracelet they wanted $40 USD for, ended up talking the guy down to $40 for the wooden bracelet, two rubber bracelets, and a wooden carved giraffe that was originally $40 bucks as well.

Room Tip: Go for the ocean view

We have enjoyed many all inclusives throughout the Islands and this was our first stay at a Couples Resort. The hotel is nice but very dated. You will witness this most in the rooms. Very ordinary with the most basic tropical décor and furniture. Not up to the standards of most Caribbean resorts. The lanai was nice and faced the pools and beautiful beach. The fitness center was great.
For us, the swimming pools were a disappointment. The pools are also very dated, which is part of the resorts charm for many, but we really center a lot of our activities around the pool area and it left us wanting more. The large pool has no swim up bar and the beverage service was hit or miss. There was a walk up bar close by, but that is not what we look for. The second and much smaller pool had a tiny swim up bar but was always difficult to get close to. We ignored this pool after the 1st day.
The food at the resort was very good. All of the restaurants were excellent. Entertainment was very average. It was enjoyable, but did not create any memories.
A big plus for the resort is that it includes some nice excursions in the price. Our favorites were the Sunset Party Cruise and the trip to Dunns River Falls.
The service was another disappointment. It fell far short from all of the other all inclusives we have enjoyed. Service was efficient and if you initiated contact with the service help they were always nice and efficient but not one person was memorable. We go out of our way to enjoy the people at resorts and try to feel the culture - it is what we enjoy. We have been spoiled from resorts like The Jewel Dunns River Falls Resort and several Sandals so this is how others are compared. Understand, there were no issues with service, it just does not compare favorably for us.
In closing, please note, we had a very nice time. The Couples Tower Isle offers a lot, but leaves room for improvement in the rooms, amenities, service and atmosphere. There are many all inclusives that offer much more.

Dear Miknkat,

Thank you for staying at Couples Tower Isle. Glad you found the resort had a lot to offer. This hotel opened in the 1950’s which explains the charm of the architecture and décor. A full renovation of the property was completed a few years ago. We essentially rebuilt the resort while preserving it’s distinctive character.

It was great to learn about the highlights from your trip such as our restaurants and included excursions. In regards to service, it was unfortunate you thought ours fell short in some areas. Sorry for any disappointment during your visit. We tend to get high scores on Trip Advisor and receive many awards in relation to service. Amongst other all-inclusives on the island, our brand is unique in that we have a boutique hotel atmosphere with understated elegance. In addition to this, we include many activities and features that others don’t.

Couples Resorts is happy you had a nice time. We hope to see you again in the future.

Regards,
Abraham Issa

We finally returned after 6 years to Couples Tower Isle and it was better than ever. We always book with Kelly at Berwick Travel and she always does a fabulous job with getting us a great rate. She's easy to get a hold of and is awesome about communication. Our room was beautiful and and very comfortable. The food was beyond amazing. Even better than our previous stays, which I didn't think could even be possible. The staff is very friendly and go out for their way to make you feel at home. It's a resort that you become very attached to because of all the special memories. Can't wait til next time!

Room Tip: Spring for the ocean views. Well worth it

My wife and I spent our two week honeymoon in Couples Tower Isle and both had the time of our lives!

The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us and made it a really special stay with their friendly, funny personalities.

We had a beautiful sea front room which was cleaned daily.

The food was also amazingly fresh and tasty. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there was a fantastic selection of local dishes, seafood and other dishes from all over the world. There were also fresh snacks and juices available all day if you wanted.

The other guests also made the holiday and we socialised with people from the UK and the US who were also there to enjoy a similar type of relaxing break.

I'd 100% recommend Couples Tower Isle to anyone. Oh, and the all inclusive excursions are also fantastic too (if you can be drag yourself from the beach, swimming pool or swim up bar).

Room Tip: Sea front rooms are stunning, we received a free upgrade (as well as a free massage) as we were on o...
