I had heard about is restaurant from a friend and was excited to check it out, I wasn't disappointed.

The surroundings of art from local artist was perfect, it was slightly dark inside but I believe due to the ambiance they were trying to create.

We were the only guests at dinner as it was early evening ,the service was excellent the food arrived quickly.

The signature dish and must try is the Jerk Fish stuffed with Callaloo and scallion served with a choice of potatoes vegetable or rice and Peas..... it was heaven ....

It was one of the best meal I have had as a self obsessed foodie...

for 2 with 2 starters and 2 mains it was average for good gorgeous food

Amazing food and for a hidden treasure .....

Of course it starts with the food. Just absolutely delicious. The standards are all there, but the Lion offers a more adventurous range than most. You might underestimate how lovely it is inside from the rather nondescript facade. The open patio in the middle of the restaurant makes for a really beautiful place to dine and visit. Very high quality fare, great ambiance, and at a reasonable price. Nice little art gallery too.

Great vegetarian food but the portions are very small. Lovely restaurant with nice art all around but a little too dark at night. Need some more lighting in this place.

We finally tried Hungry Lion and it was delicious! We had their delicious pumpkin soup to start followed by their Killer Shrimp. It was sooo good! I've been craving it ever since. It was pricy at $18 but the shrimp were large, fresh and perfectly cooked. Friends had dish and the veg stew and everyone loved their meals. Will definitely go back!

Hungry Lion was great as always and handled 15 people at once with no problem - that last is often a problem in Jamaican restaurants. Everyone was pleased with their meals and prompt service, and place was very clean as expected. I had the jerk fish with callilou and pumpkin soup, others had nice big lobster, and a few got fish pasta dishes. Been going there since 1991 and never a bad experience
