My 18 year old daughter and I returned last night from a 4 night stay at Charela. The best part was the first floor seaview room location, which enabled us to access the beach and sit on the patio and watch the sunset, etc. The worst part was the bed comfort. We spoke with the front desk staff and an effort was made to help resolve the issue by adding extra bed padding, but to be honest, the bed was still very hard and uncomfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant our first night there and it was delicious. The servers were attentive and friendly. We attempted one breakfast and never went back due to their inability to get our order correct or in a timely manner. We ate at area restaurants and were not disappointed in Ivan's, Rockhouse, Ciao, Country Country (for breakfast), and Kuyaba. Wireless access would not work, not even at their front desk computer, which they reluctantly let us use for a few minutes. The blow dryer and straightener would not plug in to the receptacle in the bathroom, so finding a spot to plug these in and use them was almost comical, and terribly inconvenient. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. There are lots of other good choices out there, and next time we will stay elsewhere.
