This was our 2 time @ CCLP and our 5th to Negril and we will be going back to Coco again next srping as well. The staff are second to none , the food is ok and your smack dab in the middle of 7 mile beach with lots of good food options close by within walking distance .The hotel is very clean and well looked after ,daily maid service and the grounds are spotless. The beach is well awesome as well as the sunsets ,there are no worries when your at CCLP go and enjoy..........

My sister and I stayed for the second time and it seemed better this time than last (as we had a great stay last time). The rooms are spacious. The beach grill food is great mixture of local and foreign style casual cuisine as well as an open air restaurant with higher end items on the menu. The prices on breakfast couldn't be beat with the discount card given to guests staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly and curteous. It's a nice place if you don't want the crowds of the large "compound" style hotels. You can still get access to activities but you have to pay. Some of the vendors are a bit pushier than others but there is on site beach security to help out if things get to heavy. Overall I would recommend this place!

We Loved this place! I was So quaint and had outstanding service. This was our 1st trip to Jamaica and won't be our last! Coco was so close to the beach which made it easy to return to our room for bathroom, snacks, etc. The 24 hour security made us feel so safe. Front desk, conceirge and security were outstanding at remembering our names and preferences. We have almost always done all-inclusive vacations so this one was totally different--in a good way! It was fun going to all the local restaurants/bars to try the local cuisine instead of doing buffets all the time. Vendors along the beach can be pushy but hotel security did an amazing job of chasing them off if you didn't want them around. We loved how small the whole grounds were because it made everything very convenient to get to. The rooms were older but very clean and had AC. The beds and tv stations were a plus also. We cannot wait to go back in February of 2012!

Just returned last week from a one week stay at the coco la palm and i'm missing it terribly! Let me just say Coco is amazing and if you are considering a stay here, dont hesitate another minute! Everything about this resort is awesome! We arrived very, very early and were only hoping theyd have a place to store our bags while we wasted some time in a restaurant or bar but we were pleasantly surprised. They immediately had a porter take our bags from us and in minutes had confirmed with housekeeping our room was ready for us. The front desk staff was so friendly it was as if they were welcoming us to their home, not just the hotel they work at. Then upon entering our room another huge surprise-an upgrade to a beautiful junior queen suite, which we hadnt even requested! The rooms are gorgeous, west indian style, octagon shaped, with dark wood vaulted ceilings, west indian wooden shades, freshly painted. Theres a small kitchen area with table and chairs. the room had a flat screen tv with plenty of U.S. cable stations. Bathroom was so great and saved us so much time getting ready, theres his and her sinks and something ive never seen in a hotel before, one huge shower stall with his and her shower heads! Talk about saving time in the evenings getting ready! And of course, we had that all important in room safe-something we learned while picking a hotel that a lot of smaller hotels in Jamaica do not have. The room also had a huge balcony big enough to seat up to 6 ppl comfortably.

One of the best things about this resort is its location on the seven mile beach. Not only is it dead center in the middle of all the action, convenient for walking on in either direction, but it has the biggest, widest and cleanest spot with the most shade trees. If you are a beach person, you will strongly want to consider this resort because i am a big beach person and believe me when i say, some of the hotels, especially down towards the cliffs, are awful and practically non-existent. a couple literally couldnt fit more than 5 or 6 lounge chairs on its beach, and 1 or 2 looked like part of their hotel was going to fall into the ocean. We had to walk in the ocean just to walk past some of these places. We kept thanking our lucky stars that we had chosen the coco la palm and not one of these places. Also Coco has an abundance of lounge chairs, a lifeguard, towel hut, wonderful, friendly security guards and a great beach bar-the dirty bananas are a must!!!

The beach vendors as some people have said can be annoying, but in almost every instance, a firm no thank you did the trick and hotel security never allows them up higher than the shore line. Also security does a great job keeping an eye on your belongings. no one had any problem while we were there.

what else can i say...we never had dinner there, although the menu looked good. too many other places we wanted to try. Rockhouse, kuyaba, and normas on the beach at seasplash are all wonderful. Ricks cafe was great for drinks and sunset but dinner was just so-so. We ate breakfast at the coco la palm everyday and its quite good. they give you vouchers for a free continental breakfast but if you want a real breakfast, they subtract the cost of the continental from your bill-giving you a great breakfast for two that only costs about $4.00 u.s.

Dont worry if you arrive and havent booked any tours. The ladies at the front desk will help you with that. We did the black river safari tour and also a tour to YS falls that included an authentic jamaican lunch. Anywhere you need to go, theyll have a taxi for you in 5 minutes, tops.

Coco La Palm is the prettiest hotel along 7 mile. Its made up of little cottage like buildings all nestled in beautiful lush greenery. In the middle of this is the beautiful main pool, which you will probably have all to yourself. behind that is a secluded jacuzzi. Overlooking the beach, is a smaller, but more picturesque pool for adults. On the beach and by the pool are lots of rafts and tubes.

Even on our last day here, after we had checked out, staff was still making sure we enjoyed every last minute. They brought our bags to a special holding area in the lobby and allowed us to return the beach towels late, because we had a 6pm flight.

Well thats about it for the review. So much more I could say though. If anybody has any questions, or wants further info on something, feel free to contact me. We love this hotel and feel strongly about passing the word on to others. Also, if anybodys looking for a great company to use for their airport transfers, tours etc. we recommend Clives Transport Services. Very friendly and professional!

Staff was friendly and accomodating to everything we needed. We arrived early but arranged for us to have a room anyway. Make sure you stop and see Donovan. He has the beautiful wood carvings on the beach at the resort to buy. You can watch him work. Michelle makes the best Tequila Sunrises and Dirty Bananas. Got to try them. Security is right there on the resort/beach so the hawkers don't harrass you. Get massages on the beach.

Leaving July 1, 2011 for our 10th stay at Coco LaPalm. Friendliest staff, best beach on the seven mile strip. Beach grill is awesome. Been to Negril over twenty times. Coco is our home and family away from home. Much more laid back and beautiful well kept grounds. Prices are very fair, but most of all we love the people who make our stay each time perfect. LOVE YOU COCO.

This was our first time visit to Jamaica. After going through so many review we finally booked at CocoLa Palm resort and I am very happy about the decision.
We stayed in Cocola Palm resort for 5 days 4 night; The stay was nothing but awesome. The staffs were very nice. The beach was simply awesome with little to no disturbance from the local vendors. A security and life guard was there all time making the beach time more peaceful. The only problem we had was with the food; being vegetarian it was little tough to manage, but I wouldnt complain.
Water, snacks etc are very expensive inside the resort. Just take a taxi ($10 to 15) to negril shopping place (Specifically to Hi Lo super market), it is same like American grocery and Shopping centre and you get everything what you get in US. Price is almost 1/4 to 1/3 of what the resort charges.

Room Tip: All rooms are good
