The pictures on the web-site are very misleading. Rooms were not like the pictures shown. The furniture was old. Didnt get the room we booked. The menu was over price and didn't offer jamaican dishes. No hand towels or bath mat. The sunset was wonderful that was the best part of our stay. Since we go to jamaica six times a year I was disappointed in the resort.

I was impressed with the scenery, the cliffs and the food across the street--it is located in walking distance to Rick's and the lighthouse. The room was tired and the front desk service was terrible--no answers to questions, poor response time and no fridge available. We moved back to the beach after two nights but were glad we went due to the area.

Room Tip: send specific requests and get a copy to bring with you. Ask for an ocean view.

Just got back from Sunset on the Cliffs, and I did enjoy my stay of four nights. The rooms are comfortable but not fancy, all with great balconies, and my air conditioning worked good .... The beds were so so, and the shower was not hot enough and lacked pressure, so I tried to get used to it .... The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, and the free breakfasts were excellent. Good drinks, too. Attentive service but a bit understaffed ,,,, usually one guy that serves as waiter, bus boy and bartender. Tough job, got to respect the guy.

Some nights, I couldn't see any security at night. Though the one security guard i did meet, Gooden, did a good job. However, a fellow guest had his lap top and cash stolen on his last day, so do be careful ....

Also, on some nights it was noisy on surrounding properties, but other nights it was really quiet. That's just the way Negril is ....

And there is a great Chicken restaurant right across the street, DeBars. They're open late.

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms seem a bit nicer ....

If you are looking for a low cost room on the cliffs this is a good place. It is NOT a five star resort, i would rate it as a 3 star.

First of all, i booked online at bookings.com for 2 rooms, apparently they only got the request for one room and they were sold out! so the other couple we were with had no room for the night! but, they called their sister hotel, sunset on the beach and gave them a suite for the same rate that was in the original reservation, so they were happy, they got a free upgrade basically and it was just down the road. they were very sorry and did a good job fixing the situation.

The rooms...

Seems like they are renovating, the walls were freshly painted, the bed cover was new, new fluffy pillows, looks like the bathroom sink was new...some things were also old like the shower, but i am assuming they are renovating a few things at a time. Overall the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The tv only had 1 station available, not sure if i just didn't know how to use the remote, but i wasn't really interested in it anyway, so didn't try to fix it.

Also, I didnt go in the pool, but it was sparkling clean and a few people were swimming.

The food...
Free breakfast, it was very slow and small portions. I ordered a fruit plate and banana pancakes. the fruit plate had 3 little pieces of fruit and the pancakes were 3 silver dollar pancakes like a kids meal.

Dinner we didnt eat there, mostly walked out to the street and had food at the various places as well as pushcart down the road.

Overall
For the cost, it was fine. I knew what to expect so i was not disappointed it was not a 5 star resort. Its a good location and in general not too bad, I would stay there again.
