beaches is wonderful with kids. the workers Kenton and Jermaine really had a blast with my kids. its a great feeling to know that your kids are enjoying themselves and the staff really contributed to this. the food was great and the drinks were endless. the hotel was very clean and the beach is beautiful. i noticed a few changes since last year when we visited and was very pleased with them. they have a coffee and pastry shop, kids center upstairs and new pool floats and chairs on the beach. the security is top notch and my everyone was very helpful.

I have just returned from my holiday at Beaches and can honestly say it's the most fun holiday I've had. The hotel is good but the food at breakfast time could be a bit better. Other than that at lunchtime and dinner the variety is much better and the meals at all restaurants has been good, in particular the fish night at the mill. The Venetian was also very good, Stefano looked after us each time we went there.
Unfortunately there was quite a bit of rain during the stay however this didn't dampen our spirits. A lot of time was spent by the main pool bar which was a blast thanks to the very entertaining staff O,Neil, Shavoy, Lorenzo, Richard, Jodian. We have never laughed so much, they have extremely quick wit and always serve with a smile.
Marjorie-Ann at the Arizona also couldn't do enough for us and was always very cheery and friendly.
Caffrey and Kenton two of the entertainers were also friendly and great fun, both very talented and amazing dancers.
There was plenty of water sports to keep us occupied, including paddle boarding and kayaking, again the staff here were lovely especially Creton who took us sailing. This resort is also wonderful for anyone who has children, there is so much for them to do and they are looked after well. All in all a great resort but what really makes it a great place to stay is the staff.

This was our fourth trip to Beaches Negril and fifth trip to a Beaches Resort. We love love love Beaches Negril. Everything is included (no up charges like other all inclusives) and the staff is awesome. We've tried other all inclusives in the Carribbean but Beaches is by far the best. The staff is the most amazing. Everyone is happy and give the resort a totally great atmosphere. The resort is safe so the kids can go off on their own and you don't have to worry. We've already booked for next year. We've tried the others but won't bother anymore- beaches is worth the $$$.

Wow is one of the first words that come to mind. This place was amazing. the service and the staff are the best. The hotel Manager Adrian does a great job with his Hotel and Staff and it sure does show! We had 2 couples in our party. Our rooms were perfect 8) The food was amazing and so was the sweets. Wonderful Place. The Sandals Company should be very proud of this location. We have been coming to Jamaica for more than twenty years and this location is very nice. We want to say these names as they are people who are really are good at what they do: Oneil ,Lorenzo,Shavoy,Jodian at the Bar. Marccello and Craig at Dinos (his pizza is the best pizza in Negril.)Sonjay,Susan,Falon,Bernard at the Mill.Jodian W at stewfish(great place). Venessa at the Arizona. Camille and Colleen gave us a great massage on the Beach.

Room Tip: We stayed in the 900 rooms and it was perfect! Loved it!!!!

We had our wedding at the Beaches resort on 1/25/14. This was our first time here and we had a group of 20 people. It was the most AMAZING experience we've ever had on vacation! Everyone we encountered on our stay was friendly, personable and incredibly sweet to our two year old daughter.

The great experiences started at the airport, where we were greeted and shown exactly what to do, invited into the lounge area with snacks and beverages, and then walked out to our bus that would take us to the resort. Once at the resort, Courtney and Luther took great care of us - there were 11 of us from our party arriving at the same time and they handled our group amazingly. Our wedding planner, Tresh, was amazing and made it the most stress-free experience - even more than I could have asked for. The great experiences continued - some highlights from our trip:

The main pool swim up bar: ONeill, Shavoy, and Keno took great care of our entire group and were super personable and fun to be around.

Restaurants: The restaurants were great, amazing options, with tons of amazing jerk chicken! The beach BBQ with the DJ on our first night there was also very entertaining. The staff was also great - Marjorie-Anne and Catherine took special care of our group and Mickedo at Kimonos entertained our entire group two nights and was great!

Shelley from entertainment was also very sweet to our group and my daughter.

The entire experience was amazing and the beach and water areas are very entertaining. Everyone in our group had a great time and we would love to go back soon!

After two years of vacationing at Sandals Whitehouse, we decided to take our kids on this trip. We decided to stay in the Sandals family of resorts because we loved the experience so we chose Beaches Negril and it did not disappoint. Our family of 5 stayed at Beaches Negril from January 15 to January 22, 2014.

Because of our previous experience and travelling with three kids, we booked the ClubMoBay arrival and departure service through April at Island Routes. It was worth every penny. Once we deplaned, we were met at the bottom of the ramp by Ryan from Island Routes, armed with a sign welcoming us by name to Jamaica. Ryan collected our passports and immigration papers and fast tracked us past the entire line-up to an immigration desk dedicated to this service. He took us through and collected our luggage for us and escorted us to customs, again to a desk dedicated for ClubMoBay arrivals. Upon clearing customs, Ryan checked us in at the Sandals/Beaches lounge. We walked across to the ClubMoBay lounge to wait for our shuttle. We didn't get a chance to sit down before we were being paged to our shuttle. From moment of deplaning to shuttle leaving the airport was literally 15 minutes, much better than the hour to hour and a half we had experienced without the arrival service.

We arrived at Beaches Negril after our 90 minute bus ride and were greeted by Courtney at the front entrance along with a rum punch and a cool lemongrass cloth. We had booked a one bedroom concierge suite so we were led to the concierge office to check in. There we met Stephanie, our concierge for the week. She was outstanding. Through her, we learned that we had been given a complimentary upgrade. Stephanie sat down with us and worked with us to book dinner reservations, spa visits for the entire week as well as glass bottom boat tours and snorkelling. For a family who had never been to this resort before, it took the guesswork out of everything and allowed us to relax while she took care of things on our behalf. Check in was fast and easy and shortly thereafter, Stephanie showed us to our rooms. We were given rooms 614 and 615 in the Savannah block, centre of the resort. In the room, we found a welcome back gift from our friends Mike and Linda and the Soon Come Back team. That was extremely thoughtful.

The room exceeded our expectations. We had anticipated that the three kids would have to sleep on pull-out couches but with the upgrade, we had one king bed and two double beds in the other room. With the rooms being adjoining, it made it simple to move from one room to the other. Each room came fully equipped with stocked fridge, separate bathrooms and vanity as well as separate, large balconies. Housekeeping ensured that fresh linens were used on our beds each day.

We were invited to the Returning Guest Dinner that evening. The kids weren't interested so they set off on their own to explore while we attended the dinner. Dinner was a beef short rib martini to start followed by a delicious rack of lamb and topped off with tiramisu for dessert. We had the good fortune to share a table with fellow Winnipeggers as well as Garrett, the Entertainment Manager and Sharana (spelling?) from the Soon Come Back desk.

Over the course of our 7 day stay, we tried all the restaurants. The buffet breakfast at The Mill served something for everyone. Omelettes made to order by Michael were a hit with our family. Dinner at StewFish was extremely good and to eat seafood on the beach just seemed natural. One of our favourite spots for lunch was the BBQ park and thank you to Winston for his entertainment while we waited for food there. We ate lunch at Arizona's a couple of times as well. Daytime snacks were picked up from Dino's pizza and Marcello in Dino's was fantastic with his humour and pizza making abilities. Dinner at the Venetian and Komono's were simply outstanding. A daily stop was made each morning for coffee and pastries at Cafe de Paris as well as frequent stops there for ice cream by the kids later in the day.

More opinions:

Resort - the resort is extremely easy to navigate and we always felt that we were safe and secure. We had no issues with even our 6 year old wandering around with us following at a distance.

Beach - easily the most beautiful beach we have ever been on. On day one, we found five chairs nestled under a huge almond tree up on the private part of the beach. We walked the beach as far as Margarittaville each morning and for the first few morning were constantly approached by people trying to sell everything from pot to parasailing to jet skiing. A firm and polite no thanks seemed to work but I did find it irritating. While relaxing on the loungers, Jodian was extremely friendly and frequently stopped by to take drink orders and clean up empty glasses. Two other mentions about the beach, each morning the entire beach was raked clean and made to look as if no one had ever stepped foot there and the security guards were extremely attentive and friendly to all of us. The only negative about the beach is that we came home with a significant number of sand flea bites. Even bug spray didn't seem to stop them.

Theme - our six year old was enthusiastic about the Sesame Street theme of the resort and he doesn't even like Sesame Street. Even though the resort is themed this way, there was still lots for the older two (ages 22 and 18) to do. We took part in the shows each evening and enjoyed the entertainment. We also had Elmo visit our room for a bedtime story and a tuck in. Our 6 year old had the largest smile we have ever seen on his face during that time.

Entertainment - the Silver Birds Steel Drum band is a can't miss attraction for all ages. Do yourself a favour and make time to see that show. It was Friday evening when we were there. The older two kids became friends with Caffrey and Obrian from the entertainment team and they still talk about them today. They can also dance like no others.

Bars and bartenders - this was new to all three kids. They have never been away before so the all-inclusive was a hit for them. At the main pool bar, Oneill and Richard kept us entertained with their banter and quick wit.

Waterpark - we all took advantage of the lazy river and water slides. Very nice touch for a family resort.

Other - our family also took advantage of the Xbox garage, mini golf and the ping pong table. There truly is something for everyone.

People - every single person we encountered, from gardeners to bartenders to security to Management, was extremely friendly and we were treated with the utmost respect. It is clear that Mr. Adrian Whitehead has his team and his entire resort clicking on all cylinders.

If we were to take the kids on another winter getaway, there is no question, we would return to Beaches Negril.

This was our second time on a family trip (three generations) to Beaches Negril and we all enjoyed it just as much as our first trip.
The food is generally excellent. The Mill has a great buffet with lots of variety and wonderful serving staff; the BBQ park has great jerk chicken and other stuff into the wee hours; the Venetian has excellent food; Arizona's and Stewfish both have truly amazing serving staff, and food is pretty good too.
The water/beach is PERFECT. Crystal clear, calm, gorgeous, clean beyond belief.
Rooms are great, bed was perfect, bathroom and balcony amazing.
The staff are extraordinary -- so professional, friendly, genuine, and all around lovely. Lesmore at Stewfish is a true gentleman and we were thrilled to see him again this year. Dahlia at Stewfish also deserves special mention, especially for her lessons in napkin-work and patois. Jermaine and Nekore at the beach bar next to Stewfish were both wonderful, highly entertaining, and great at their jobs. Loved Mitsy at the pool bar and also on the beach. Also loved Jodian, who is so friendly and likeable and always checking in to see if we needed drinks. Finally, must mention Marjorie-Anne and Samantha at Arizona's. They are fabulous people and very professional -- unfortunately, they had to clean up after my sick nephew one night at the restaurant, and they were so gracious and made it seem like it was no problem at all. I was so impressed with these two on other occasions as well.
To summarize: awesome property, beaches, rooms, and food. And most importantly, truly amazing staff that make the resort very special.
