We arrived Feb.23 for 1 week and we're surprised about the size of the 1bedroom apt. However as time went on we discovered many things that were, notup to snuff. For instance there should be no reason why any hotel in Negril should be r unning out of bananas and have to wait a couple of days for more. Foot wasjust OK. Not a very balanced diet. As long as you don't mind eating the same thing everyday then you will be OK!!! We found ourselves dining elsewhere a couple of times in the week. If you allow for this extra expense fine but it can't be compared to other all inclusive like the Grand Pineapple for sure. However the location is great!!

Room Tip: The 1 bedroom was nice but we really didn't need all that space for 2 people. To get the best d...

we were at the Beachcomber from Feb 24 - Mar 2 and had a great time. It is a very small resort but with very friendly staff. I did read a lot of stuff about this place and there is bad and good about the Resort.
We got in about 9:00 pm and were very hunger and there is no place to eat at that time close to the resort and nothing to eat at the resort but during the day you can buy anything on the beach. We got our room and the air conditioner did not work they could not fix it or give us a room that had air conditioning until the next day and we were not impressed at all. but the next day they did get it working.
The one thing that is the worst about the resort is the buffet not the food but you never know what time meals were, one morning breakfast was at 8 and the next 8:40 and you were always waiting for food because they never had enough. if you had a tour early you would need to eat out because meals were only at a certain time. some time desert but not all the time and more fruit would of been nice. the rooms do need updating but they were comfortable. the best part about the resort was the beach it is amazing and in the perfect location. The resort is a lot more friendly with the very few guests that they have compared to the big resorts. The staff is very friendly and that is what makes the resort. so if you can put up with the Buffett and the rooms mostly bathrooms needing some TLC then this is an ok place to stay at, there is some time shares there and we meet a lot of wonderful people there and that is what made it great. So overall it is ok place but some things that need to be addressed.
we took some tours with a company called Juju tours with Angela and she is amazing best tour I have ever took anywhere. it's a small tour company but very good, give her a try I have nothing but good things to say about her and not the average tour very small with a lot to see.

Beachcomber Club is one of the many places to stay on Negril Beach. They all look like they need some upgrades but we had a good time there. They have spacious apartment style rooms with living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a big balcony. The closer to the beach the better. If you are for a more local experience than the few luxurious American resort chains, this place is OK. There is good security and good food. It is located in the mid of the seven miles beach with clear waters, their space on the beach is wider than in others and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas. For beach towels you need to grab them in the morning at around 9:00am or they may be gone for the day. For meals, you may want to check their schedule as they may change without notice. From this area you can explore around. We found Negrilonestop.com as very good to reserve both the hotel, transfers to Montego Bay airport and a few excursions. If you like fishing, Stanleysdeepseafishing.com is very good. From the hotel we went to experience the bioluminescent lagoon, Mayfield Falls, the Black River with crocodiles and Y.S Falls.

Room Tip: a room close to the beach

Just returned from Beachcomber resort... 1st amazing spot on the beach, great location. This resort could be outstanding with some money put towards it for upkeep. The rooms are nice and clean but the washrooms need some upkeep. Roofs leaking from above, toilets won't flush, very very poor water presure,(does not matter what time of day). There were 8 of us and we all had the same impression.
Food-what was offered tasted very good. Just very very limited. Same every night.
Chicken, rice, veggies, salad. Each night they would just offer 1 other item that was it.
just 5 hot plates.
Bar- again very limited, for the 1st 2 days you could not get a cold beer. There is a little cooler and it was impossible to keep cold, so finally we had a word with the owner and beer was kept elsewhere in a seperate fridge, so that everyone could at least get it cold, it was just too bad that it had to come to that. We tried to ask the bar people to do something but nothing happened.
This could be a very good resort with a little more thought and a lot more money.
we had a good week but would not very likely return..

This is a solid 3 star hotel. The accomodations are sufficient (our room 9A had no issues) and the beach is unbelievable. The staff are amazing (hi Mark and Jerome!!) and the site is kept clean. Sure, it's a bit rundown but I spent all my time on the beach, so I didn't even notice.
The food is so-so and I heard a few people complaining about the AI option. The bar is open from 10am to 10pm which didn't seem to work for some, but again it didn't bother me at all.
I enjoyed myself very much. If I were to go back to Negril, I would definately stay at Beachcomber club again. The hotel is located smack dab in the middle of Seven Mile beach and it's all irie mon!

Room Tip: 9A is a good room with no issues. Located near the front of the hotel, it's furthest from the be...

We stayed at the beachcomber the 3rd week of January. I must say the negetive reviews will only keep this club vacant for beach lovers like us. The friendliness of the staff cannot be understated, They are very pleasent and respectful.
We arrived early and our room was not ready, To our suprise a few other guests took us to their rooms and let us change, You can't find this at other resorts. Everyone knew everyone and it was a very pleasant atmosphere.
The rooms were what we expected as we did book a 3* resort. The food to was fine, We don't go away for the food, as some do, but the beach and holiday.
Over all we enjoyed ourselves and will return this year. Make sure you read all the reviews before you book, If you want a 4* or 5* then go somewhere else, but you will miss out on the Negril experience.

Room Tip: This is a 3* so don't expect higher and complain.

There is nothing like Negril, beach beautiful, happy people......sun sand..music. Star rating on this property is not correct.....have stayed at 3* - this definatly not one......more like a 1*. But you make the best of it....owners need to put some TLC and $$$$ into it and it could be much better. Walking distance to lots of Restruants,Bars,Reggae Music. Beachcomber often ran out of Supplies.....like Red Stripe.....how does that happen?? Staff were great, but not treated very well by owners (who live on property). We asked for some special requests from the kitchen and they did reposond.
