I've been to Jamaica four times and my stay at Legends was the best! The food, staff, hotel, and beach is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! The food that Mama prepared every morning, noon, and night was delicious! I ate every meal. The staff at Legends were more than friendly and they wait on you hand and foot! Micheal and Ommet is the security on the beach and we felt safe at all times. I want to thank Shanee', Crystal, Jennifer, Mama, Micheal, and Ommet for making our stay perfect! The hotel is small and intimate! If you want to stay at a luxury or five star hotel go to The Hilton and pay a million dollors a night. The price at Legends is great and I do recommend the all inclusive!!!!!!!!! Three meals a day and all the alcohol you can drink. Come on Mon!!! We had a beach view and a balcony. The beach is beautiful and your in the middle of everything. You can walk to the different clubs in the area. I suggest Alfred's on Friday's and Sunday's for the live reggae bands. And you can't go wrong going to the Jungle on a Saturday night. Bring towels, lotion, shampoo, and anything eles you can think of. The hotel does not provide anything. The only thing I regret is that we did not bring our radio and Bob Marley CD's. We're trying to go back in August and it is worth every dollor that we paid! WE LOVE YOU LEGENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the run down on this run down property:
If you are booking all inclusive, you will be disappointed with this property. We travel all inclusive at least once or twice a year and found that the resort was highly over priced and under serviced. This is what to expect:
ROOMS:
- extremely overpriced.
- We paid for the beach side rooms which meant that they were on the beach side of the road, NOT on the beach, facing the beach or with a beach view.)
- TV was ancient with lousy reception.
- Room was always full of mosquitoes – we were very bit up as we did not bring mosquito spray.
- extremely loud air conditioner.
- Ceiling fan damaged and noisy.
- No safe in the room but you could keep your valuables in the office.
- No hairdryer.
- No beach towels available.
- No shampoo or conditioner.
- No room towels from 10:00am until 5:00 as they take them and bring them back later.
- Room door lock – unsecure – very thin door, windows didn’t lock.
STAFF:
- Front desk staff could barely be considered helpful or friendly.
- Bartender – unfriendly and inconvenienced.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE:
- FOOD was pretty much terrible. We arrived late and everything was closed as their hours are limited for food service. They got our hopes up with telling us that they were bringing sandwiches to the room – when it arrived this was the first indication that we had made a HUGE mistake in booking this property. They brought two slices of dry white bread with a small square of hard cheese dropped on it. If you like starch and grease with recycled food from the previous day, you will have no problem with the food. I found it difficult to find something I could eat as there were two choices of greasy meat of some type, for a main dish with not a leaf of lettuce all week. Macaroni and cheese, fries and burgers are what you can expect. Whole wheat non existent.
BEVERAGES – Limited to say the least. Domestic Rum, Vodka and Beer all inclusive, the rest you had to pay 4.50 a drink for. Baileys, Tia Maria, Kaluha – you had to pay for.
What a rip off. You were only allowed to order one drink at a time if you were on the beach to save waste, I assume. Tipping the bartender did little to muster enthusiasm. Your drink was served when she stopped avioding eye contact so was forced to give you her attention.
BEACH – fewer chairs than people by far.
ENTERTAINMENT – none.
SISTER RESORT – SAMSARA – pretty much the same thing only located on the cliffs.
ADVICE: Do not waste your money on this property. You are better off to stay in a hotel room and eat out as we ended up eating at the next door resort as the food and service was pleasant. The trip ended up costing much more than we had planned because the resort food was unacceptable, the drinks were overpriced so we ate outside of the property.
BEST THING ABOUT OUR HOLIDAY:
Negril Beach is 7 miles of clear, calm, wide white sand beach. You can walk out into the water at any point along the long beach and go a long way and it is absolutely beautiful, crystal clear calm water. The sunsets breathtaking.

Went on a girls trip this time (4th time to Jamacia). The hotel is average, not a 5 star but that shows in the rates. Everything went very smooth and after reading some reviews we were not to sure. We booked beachside and people remember and read.. the hotel say's beachside not beachview! We checked in and recieved our beachside room. Basic and clean with no frills but we didn't expect any. It was clean every day and towels arrived by 2:00pm fine! You don't go there to stay in the room. The beach section is small but you really have all 7 miles to play with. Big Mama makes the food with great flavor, not alot of choice but she works great with what she has and always with a smile. The best thing about this hotel is the staff and I have stayed other places in Negril even 5 star, and this staff has it all, minus the manger that we found asleep outside our door in the afternoon. The Asst .mgr Fiona is wonderfull(5 star) and hands down to her and the staff(5star),Front desk, Tiffany, Rachel, Richie, Andrea, Michael(security),Orrett(beach)and all the others, the staff made it! They remembered our names the first day and always had a smile. Do bring your own beach towels, it's much better. The locals are great, remember they live there and are trying to make a living, just be nice every time and say no if you want but smile to them, they mean no harm. We would only stay again for the staff, not the hard beds and the very flat pillows, it be nice if the owner would upgrade these simple things. (ice bucket and coffee maker in room too!)

Totally enjoyed our 2nd trip to Legends Negril. The friendly staff and awesome cook made you feel very welcomed. The building may not be a 5star resort, but the cleanliness and staff are 5 Star plus. We can't wait to go again.

We stayed at the Legends with minimal expectations based on the reviews we saw on trip advisor. The selling point for us was that they were spacious and clean. The rooms are dated, there is no in room safe (if you want a safe, it is $3.00 per day and safe is not in your room). We purchased a beachfront room and our room was across a very busy street and next to a garbage dump that smelled horrible.

After a couple of days, we were just happy that we had a clean spacious room where we could vacation affordably. The staff was incredible, Tiffany who works in the restaurant and bar was amazing. Wonderful people can always make your stay more enjoyable. I would recommend this place if you are on a tight budget, just lower your expectations.
