So my fiancée and I had stayed at samsara before but it was all booked up so we opted for their sister property on the beach. Legends is perfect for us. The room was nice and clean. Food was good and we still got to go up to Samsara on certain nights when they do special dinners, like Jamaica night and grill night. We did karaoke up there which was a blast. Anyway Legends was a nice change because the beach is much more lively than the cliffs. Plenty of watersports and nightlife so we kept pretty busy. We'll definitely be back and where we stay will just depend on what mood we're in. Samsara for relaxation and Legends if feel like being more active. But nowhere else.. We're hooked!

Arrived back from legends 29th Nov, the resort can only be described as a third rate resort, and not a "all inclusive resort" as experienced on two other occasions in Jamaica the variety of food was non existant basic Jamaican, the restaurant area was very uncomfortable and the tables had to be adjusted to stop them rocking by putting cardboard under the legs, cats were running around the restaurant continuously, all the rooms were of one standard poor, there are no "Superior Rooms" at the resort, the sun loungers were well used and needed replacing ( there were some nearly new ones) if you wanted one you had to be first down in the morning to get a good one, the bar shuts at ten every night so you have to vacate the area and leave the resort to find some entertainment locally, there is no lounge area to sit and enjoy a drink, this is definitely not somewhere to go if you want to enjoy a reputable "all inclusive holiday" the beach and the sea are fantastic apart from being harrased by local vendors 24/7, the noise from beach bars was horrendous kept us awake until early hours on four separate occasions, the only place we have ever been to where we were counting down the hours in readiness to come home and we have travelled to a lot of All inclusive resorts worldwide, we were celebrating our "Ruby Wedding Anniversary" and we will certainly remember it for all the wrong reasons, the sister resort Samsaura was better but no beach, I would advise people to do their homework before booking this resort

Stayed first 2 weeks of December 2013 - weather was mostly sunny, but rain at times in the afternoons.

Staff is the best asset this hotel has by far because their staff members are all very friendly, agreeable, accommodating etc. which is unfortunate as everything else is mediocre at best.

Outstanding services were provided by everyone, but we have to mention a few that we will never forget from the restaurant and bar: Karlene, Rowenka, Danielle, Nicole, Ericka, Terry Ann, Michelle, Tiffany, and pretty much everyone at the bar and restaurant. Our cleaner Cheek keeta.did a good job, and at the front desk Kenyon is really top notch in customer services.

The rooms are clean and basic, nobody really needs more for a room; yet, the mattress is a bit too small for the huge wooden bed frame, so at night, we banged ourselves against the frame as we all commented that we could not see the frame in the dark.

The common washrooms by the restaurant are very run down and in bad need of upgrade/painting etc. as the doors are dirty, falling apart with poor locks (see pictures attached.) Somewhat the washroom looks dirty so it gives you a bad feeling every time one has to use it, and we could not go to our room because ours was across the street, which was about 500 meters away.

The beach area is awesome, with lovely white sand, clean calm waters to swim and even just float all day. Unfortunately, Legend's beach area has a problem that there are some people just beside by the fence of the property selling mari all day long and talking away, which is very annoying to listen to every day and all day long. Local vendors do come by and offer different things, but none of us in our group found them to be disturbing or annoying. They all went away with a simple "no thanks."

The hotel food is very basic, we would not call their food a BUFFET - we would call it a MEAL since all they serve daily are 1 veggie, 1 salad (either cabbage or corn) 1 rice, 1 spaghetti and 2 choices of protein ie. chicken or beef, 1 watery soup, 2 or 3 type of fruits and 1 cake, this is not what anyone calls a buffet. Even in Cuba there is a bigger assortment of food on the buffets of a 2.5 star hotels, we stayed in at least two in Cuba and no such shortage.

The safe is in the office and it is $3.00 per day and very accessible at all times, the hotel does not provide a BEACH towel. No ICE CREAM, no margaritas, no Black Russian and other drinks. They do have/make the drinks and ice cream, but they are not part of the all inclusive, so you cannot get it unless you pay additional. We had to buy a beach towel, which cost 7 to 12 dollars per towel at a craft place as you cannot find anything that is not a souvenir towel. Also there is NO ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT even though their package reads entertainment, there is NONE. Sometimes the local musicians are allowed in the restaurant to play at night, but they play hoping guests give them tips.

Also, smoking of cigarettes, cigar, mari and who knows what is permitted everywhere in the hotel restaurant beach etc, so we could not eat any basic meal without having someone smoking beside.

It is sad to say that despite their truly awesome staff and the hotel having a good potential in being a basic hotel, we would have not stayed there if we had known all the above. Yes, it is cheap, but not free, so it is below expectations even when paying little, so really the owners need to get their act together in terms of providing more assortment of foods or call it a meal and not a buffet and they need to fix up washrooms at their facilities.

We also visited the Samsara, which Legends has a free shuttle once at 10 am and a return shuttle at 4 p.m., this is the other hotel owned by the same family, and that hotel was cleaner and nicer in terms of facilities i.e. washrooms were nicely painted and clean, but the food was still very limited in terms of variety i.e. hamburger, fries, corn salad, wings and 1 fruit for lunch. Samsara is a newer nicer hotel, but has no beach as it has cliffs, which we found dangerous for people with children, so be careful if you go there with your children..

Room Tip: Rooms on the beach side of the hotel are better as you don't have to cross the street - nothing...

My family and I stayed at Legends from Dec 4-11, and it was a great experience! The staff were all very friendly (my favorite bartender was Tiffany, and the man in charge of the beach area, Mike, made sure we were well taken care of when it came to our chairs, etc). It was a one minute walk from our room to the beach, which was perfect. The drinks were well made, but the food was just mediocre (after one meal next door at Kuyaba, I ate there every day, their food was excellent). There are cats wandering around when the food is out, which I liked, but not for everyone. The room was simple but had everything we needed, and we were given fresh towels daily. Outside was always fairly noisy, but once the porch doors were closed you couldn't hear a thing. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Negril!

We had a relaxing stay. The staff are all friendly and very hard working. Our room was clean and the air worked great. No safe in room but are available. Paul the manager makes sure all your needs are met. Tiffany and Jennifer are wonderful at the bar. The bar is only open 10am to 10 pm. Bring a tervis cup, it is hot and keeps your drinks cold. They do have set eating hours. I am a bit picky but they always had a few choices and could find something to eat. There are also a lot of places to go try. Bonus was the use of the sister hotel Samsara on the cliffs. We used the free shuttle many times. Tax is only $5 either way if you want to stay longer. Red license plate and negotiate price before you get in. Bring lots of $1 bills for tipping and exact change. We used only US dollar and had no problem. The beach area is full get down early for a chair. Bring your own beach towel. Hang them in your room they will dry quicker to humid outside. Firm no thank-you keeps the vendors away. Michael the security guard does a great job keeping them away and making you feel safe. We brought our own floats for the ocean. This staff works very hard respect them and they will respect you. Went on the Love Bus. Very fun you can google it. This is a great value and your on Seven mile beach.

Room Tip: We liked garden side for the quiet. Crossing the street was not a problem and there was always a gu...

We stayed at Legends from Nov 25th till the 30th. The staff at the front desk were delightful and made our stay even better. In particular was Jen and Adrian who could not have been more helpful. All of the staff in the bar/dining area, the cook and house keepers were equally as friendly and added to the pleasure of our stay. If there's a negative here it has more to do with the fact there are no non-smoking areas in the dining area and men who walk along the beach past the hotel. Because the beach is public, it just comes with the territory and doesn't really take away from the overall experience. A;so, our "all Inclusive" did not include any wine. That had to be paid for.

Room Tip: There are only 5 ocean front rooms, all the rest fast other hotels so there is no ocean view. Ask f...

I stayed at Legends in late November and had a wonderful time. I went with a girlfriend, we wanted to get away and relax. Legends is in the PERFECT location. Yeah, the food was mundane but it was hearty for a few days. There is a menu that you can order from if you get tired of the standard fare. A few suggestions, be mindful of been the resort shuts down, I was sitting out front on the beach and got locked out. Had a great time trying to figure out how to get back on the property. It was a wonderful night! Bring your own towel for the beach. Alfred's is just down the way and there was a DJ playing music one afternoon, it was magical. The staff are nice, especially the guards and front desk. The servers make sure you know if there is an additional charge for something, at times nauseating, but it became comical after a while. We loved it so much we are trying to book another trip to bring in the new year! Have fun and RELAX! It's worth the penance to be on 7 Mile I an ideal location. Drinks and food for AI is 10-10.
