we booked with capt. moses and he took 23 of us to snorkel and explore this cute little island. they dropped off the few that didnt want to snorkel first and then took the rest of us out on a boat (2 min boat ride) a little further off shore to snorkel. lots of fish, plants, star fish and even a stingray! they took us back to the island afterwards and we got to walk around and explore it. all of us enjoyed it and would do it again!

“Lobster experience”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Came here off a snorkeling tour. Had I known a few things I would have been more prepared.

1. Yes there is lobster and our snorkel tour guide cooked it up and served to us. Also he had caught a tuna earlier and we had that. Lobster cost $20 each, wish I had known. Captain settled up with local lobster guy and we settled later. Lobster delicious and best part. Explored trails, hung out with locals. Yes there is weed-smoking, so if sensitive to this, don't go. I mean don't go to Jamaica, much less Booby Cay.

2. Bring your own drinks from your minibar or wherever. You might be able to buy something, you might not.

3. If you want to experience interaction with real Jamaicans and hang out and have a really cool relaxed experience, find a snorkel guy to take you over there. It's an experience and a pleasant change of pace from the resort beach.

“Like Gilligans Island!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Years ago when we first started coming to Jamaica, we took a glass bottom boat ride, snorkeled and then had fresh lobster on Booby Cay Island. One of the best days ofmy life I have to say. There is no lobster on beach anmymore, but dont hesitate to stop by anyway. Youcan purchase a cold beer from the locals who still come to the Island everyday, just hoping to have a tourist just like you and I, stop by.

“Some of the best times I have had”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

I always go to Booby Cay for at least 1 evening when in Negril. Usually have a friend cook up some lobsters for us. Usually we have the island to ourselves. Sometimes there is the old lady selling trinkets and Red Stripes.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

Go for the fresh grilled lobster experience, not for the ambiance. It's just a wild little island where you stand around a makeshift table to eat your lobster and have to pee in the bushes. Some people were selling shells. $20 and up for a lobster.
We combined that trip with an excellent Sunbaby snorkel tour.
