Dear Carole and Chris;
While of course we always want our guests to have a great time at Travellers it is particularly rewarding when experienced Jamaican visitors of 25 years like yourselves single us out for praise. I am sure you have many wonderful memories over those years and we are truly happy to be a part of your Jamaican experience. We are a mid size 60-room Jamaican-owned property on the beautiful seven-mile beach of Negril, we try hard to provide an authentic while comfortable and secure experience for our visitors both from abroad and also from right here on the island. We hope you will be visiting us again very soon. Best wishes and thank you from the entire family at Travellers..................

Ok this place has a fun atmosphere!!! The staff are phenomenal, friendly, fun and make you feel welcome especially PATRICE & ROMEO us Canadians miss ya'll. Winthrop you are cool too and you have a great place. The pool we lived in it for days. Karaoke night was fun and love how we had everyone doing the electric slide and the cupid shuffle. Miss this cool lil spot, I soon come... The rooms were clean, the food was great. With my highest regards I recommend you stay here when you visit Negril, Jamaica it's right on the beach what more could you ask for. It's fairly easy to get a taxi and or you could take a stroll into town.

We stayed at Travellers Beach Resort for 10 days. We had the time of our lives in Jamaica. I am going to break down this review into categories.

Rooms: Before we arrived to Negril I noticed that they had us down for the wrong type of room. I called them and they immediately changed it no problem. Our room was so nice, we had a very clean room with two double beds, and a nice bathroom. The TV got lots of chanels, incase you got a little too burnt to go outside during the day, you werent board. We had a pretty little veranda on ground level, it faced the back of the property so you got to look at the pretty garden.

Staff: The staff who worked at the bar & security were very friendly, making sure you were enjoying your trip to the fullest, always having a smile on their faces and bending over backwards to make you happy. The managment, front desk and room keepers was a different story. When you asked the room keepers for something you got the impression that you were bothering them. The ladies at the front desk we found rude, again when you asked them something it was like you were bothering them, when we checked out we didnt even get a "thanks for coming" or a "we hope you enjoyed your stay".. The managment people (pretty sure they are brothers) walked around alot, but didnt say two words to you. The two managment guys who were amazingly friendly was the GM and the Cost affective guy who is always down by the bar, they were always making sure that we were good.

If you are looking for a ride to and from the airport or even around Negril, Andre's Taxi service is the way to go. Andre will pick you up and take you around himself. He is very professional and makes sure you are safe at all times.

Everything else: The food was alright and at a reasonable price. We ate at Keneys chinese place (which is right beside Travellers) quite a bit though, you got alot of amazing food for your money. The pool is amazing (we spent alot of time in there). Beach front was beautiful. You didnt feel like a prisioner there, you could come and go as you please. We always felt safe being two girls traveling by ourselves.

Overall.. We had an amazing trip

Shawna thank you so much for taking the time to write to us and in such detail. We are glad to hear you had an "amazing trip". While we always like to hear our positives it is equally important when a guest raises areas where we can improve. We use this as a training tool and ensure all the team are aware what the guests are telling us. Am happy to hear you felt safe and secure with us, that is important for all of us but perhaps more so for ladies travelling by themselves. As you mention Travellers is well situated in close walking proximity to the town, bars, restaurants, shopping, duty free etc. I do hope you will come back and see us - perhaps when your Canadian summer starts to fade. We have some great deals out there.
Have a great summer and hurry back!

My stay at the Travellers Beach Resort in Negril was an experience of a lifetime. The beautiful location, breathtaking ocean view, cordial staff, and most of all, the menu which offers first-class authentic Jamaican cuisine, places this resort on my list of one of the finest destinations available on the island of Jamaica.

Travellers offers one of the most extensive, highly rated, yet affordable menu containing world-renown Jamaican classics such as Jerk, Brown Stew, and Curry Chicken; Rice and Peas, and Sweet Fried Plaintain; and of course the famous Jamaican national dish, Ackee and Saltfish. Travellers also offers Classic American dishes for those who are slightly less adventurous.

Your next visit to Negril will not be complete without experiencing the excellent hotel accommodations and exquisite menu selections offered by the Travellers Beach Resort. I highly recommend this resort destination as one of the finest places to visit while experiencing the Paradise Island of Jamaica!!
