We had a great stay here. The hotel in on a fantastic white sand beach with miles of calm blue waters. All the staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me setup a special, surprise dinner at a west-end restaurant.
The grounds are well maintained and the hotel is clean. They have a good (but not cheap) restaurant on site. For the price point, the deluxe rooms are very good with clean linens, a/c, ceiling fans, and balconies. There is a tv (although we never used it) and they have wifi (which worked best on the balcony). As mentioned in the other reviews, the water pressure wasn't amazing, but it was never a problem and never meant you couldn't shower.
Only downside is the hotel is near an outdoor nightclub which we could hear at night (although most of Negril beach is near some sort of outdoor music venue).
The hotel is in a great location for exploring the beach and town of Negril.
The restaurant is great for breakfast on the beach and the beach chairs are great for lounging all day. Tell Charlie & Buddy (the parrots) we say hello.

The hotel setting is incredible, in a beautiful garden right on the beach! Of all the hotels we saw in the area, Kuyaba definitely has the most character - beautiful garden, nice rooms, thatched roof, and a parrot and cockatoo that say "hello" when you pass by. The grounds are very well maintained, there's a safe parking area, and our room was very clean and big with a huge bathroom, and AC. The restaurant is very nice as well, right on the water. It seemed a little expensive, but most other places did too. The food was delicious! Get the Escovitch fish, it's amazing! The only complaint is that we had to pay $5.50 a day for a mini-fridge. With the fairly high prices it seems that this should have been included. But other than that, great hotel, we definitely recommend this place!

Another awesome week in Negril! Our first stay at Kuyaba, we usually stay next door at Legends but wanted to give Kuyaba a try since we eat there all the time. We rented a king suite. Room was clean, bathroom was huge! Shower head was sketchy, but they all are, in any place we've stayed, even Couples! It was functional and big enough for two, heck, it's big enough for four! Jetted tub, but we didn't use it, i have a thing about bath tubs in hotels. But it was also in good condition and appeared to be in perfect working order. Room was awesome with porch and swing. Air conditioner was great! Almost too cold! We arrived much later than planned because of delayed flight, but the security guard was waiting for us with our key and helped carry our bags upstairs, I did call to let them know we were going to be late. Our bags were lost in transit and the manager gave me his personal cell phone to call the airlines to find and arrange for our bags to be delivered...awesome since my phone was $2/minute! The bar and restaurant are a little pricey, but still worth it since the food is excellent and the drinks are not some watered-down crap! Eight nights here, with airfare, food and drinks is still at least $1k less than an all-inclusive and you get to see the real 7 mile beach! Times Square is right across the street as well as a convenience store where you can buy soda and beer. Buy a couple of bottles of rum at the airport, duty-free, and you are set to go! We got a fridge in our room, but we bring our Bubba mugs. The bartender was happy to get us ice and we mixed a lot of our own drinks...a flask is helpful for this:) The beach is awesome! plenty of room, Paul, beach security, will take the best care of you! Gets your chairs and an umbrella ready for you every day you want it, keeps the vendors away if you don't want them to bother you or gets you the best beach vendors to supply you with whatever you want! Lobster lunch, 3/$20 on the beach every day! What's better than that?!?! We travel to Negril twice a year now; 8 days in season and 5 days in off season...this is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! Ask for Joan (Jo-Ann) to be your server in the restaurant, and you will be treated like royalty! Please remember to tip the staff with cash if they provide good service, even if you use a credit card for your meal or bar bill! Find Shane at the street for the best taxi driver in Negril! No pressure, no hassle and honest! Can't wait to return in November to see our friends here at Kuyaba!

Kuyaba is a small, cozy hotel situated right on 7 mile beach - Perfect location! You are close to the beach, bars, restaurants and a convenience store where you can buy water, rum and snacks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the private balcony was more then we ever could've asked for. I went with the three friends, all girls in are twenties, and the Kuyaba staff did an excellent job providing recommendations and making sure we always felt safe and at home at the hotel.

We ate at Kuyaba restaurant twice and loved the shrimps and veggie quesadilla.

Kuyaba is a wonderful little spot on the 7 Mile Beach! We had a wonderful time here in December. We were debating wethere to go AI or not, but going RO was the right choice for us. We did dine in the hotel on a number of occassions, either for lunch or dinner, but like the freedom of trying different resturants. and the food here is excellent.
We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which is a large & beautiful room, the balcony alone is huge and we loved it! Only let down was the bathroom, that is in some need of TLC.
All the staff we came across were really friendly, the security guard on the beach was so helpful in getting sun loungers out every day.
Other people have pointed out that the adjacent properties play music fairly loud (at nigh)t and this is true. However, we were still jet lagged in Jamaica and it didnt bother us too much...
We had booked our airport transfer through the hotel and had the pleasure of having Ricky as our driver, a really nice guy and full of knowledge! We also booked an excursion with him to the Black River & YS Falls and had a great day.
Would love to visit again! Loved the feel of a small intimate property and not being one of the massess at one of the large chain hotels.
