We planned a 10 day girls trip to Grand Pineapples and could not have been happier with our stay. Grand Pineapple is not a huge resort, but that made our trip feel much more personal and enjoyable. Our room was on the beach side. The room included one full bathroom, a closet, dresser and two beds. Our room was always kept very clean and fresh. New towels were provided every day, our maid consistently delivered a clean and organized room, even when we didn’t leave it that way. The Grand Pineapple had a buffet style for each meal, the different range of foods were amazing. It was great to have a new thing to try every day!

The best part of the Grand Pineapple was the people. All of the staff made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable on the resort. We met such amazing people along the way that made our trip unforgettable. Our bar staff was always extremely friendly and upbeat and made coming to the bar a great experience. A special thank you to Chucky (Tee), who was always willing to test out new drink combinations or offer up his knowledge and experience on new drink creations for us! Jacquie was always our breakfast and lunch waitress, and we ensure we sat in her area every day! She was extremely kind and friendly and always so happy! Christopher and Chanel were always our dinner waiters. They were both fantastic and always made sure we had everything we needed. If you are going to stay on the resort, make sure you try out a Chanel #5! Our handy man, Jefroy always had a smile on his face, he was always willing to help us with any questions or concerns we had and his amazing personality made us feel like one of his friends. He always did such a great job ensuring that everyone was involved and had everything they needed to have the best experience possible. Lastly, our lifeguard Basil was always so helpful with our endless water sports questions. His knowledge and help really made us feel more comfortable with approaching him. The beach was always kept extremely clean and organized. The staff was always willing to help us move and arrange our chairs to suit our needs. It was also great that there were always towels available on the beach!

The only downfall was the WiFi is not free and we were charged for 2 days when we had already paid. However, the staff was able to quickly correct these charges. It would also be nice if the bar was open past 11:00 pm.

We will definitely be planning another girl’s trip the Grand Pineapple!

Room Tip: Cutest little resort on the island!

GP is the cutest little hotel in Negril, situated on a beautiful part of 7 mile beach.

The Good;
Rooms are cozy, and beds are comfortable.

Location is great! Close to plenty of great places to eat and drink!

Staff is friendly; Especially Chanel! She really went out of her way and always had a smile on her face.

Always plenty of lounge chairs on the beach as well as beach towels.

Needs some attention;

The pool - although most days were spent on the beach it would have been nice to have had more loungers around the pool. We did call several times for enough seats for everyone before leaving for the beach again. Would even be nice for some food and drink service there. We did call but after waiting for an hour and 40 minutes we decided to head to the restaurant for lunch.

Wine- It would have been great to have the option of wine with lunch, not only dinner. Also, you were fine if you drank red wine but it seems like the white was rationed to 1 or 2 glasses each and that was even if there was any at all

Bar- Drinks were great and service was good.............Just closed way too early 11pm!

Food - Food was ok.............not enough variety and some was often out during the busier times for dinner.

Snacks- I would have been nice to have a simple food buffet during the afternoon. Even if it was just cookies or pretzels, french fries or fruit. After a long hot day of drinks on the beach an afternoon snack would be nice.

Bottled water - not offered by the resort. Even if it was limited to one bottle per person per day.

Room Tip: Rooms on Garden side are across the road. Beach side cottages are great!

We stayed on the garden side close to the pool which we enjoyed after a day at the beach. The resort is well situated, you can walk on the blvd to town or buy true Jamacain jerk chichenform the street vendors. The food at the resort was good, but not enough Jamacian dishes. A special thanks Chanell for the great service while dinning and to Marvette for the awesome bar service.

Room Tip: Rooms on the garden side are quiet and close to the pool

Returned to GP for another visit mid October for a week . I have to write this review in response to a review Ihave read tonight stating the staff was not around when needed . This is just not the case ! People must realize that Oct is the slow season in Negril and occupancy at the resort was about 35 % other than a entertainment group staying there that worked at Beaches which brought it up to about 60 % . Def there were less staff working during the week but never was there at any time someone doing without ! I think Sandals have done a great job keeping our wonderful GP open for all to enjoy even when sometimes it may financially seem wrong to do so . The food was great ,the drinks were cold and beer plenty ! The beach was spotless and the water about 90 a 95 degrees ! What more can a person want ? The only neg on going in Oct is that the beach vendors are a tad aggressive and if you are not use to Ja this time of year you may be left with a bad taste . These are all great people trying to make a living in a slow season . Thank you Sandals and all the peoples of Ja for making another great trip for my wife and myself ! See you in Dec !
