“Perfection!”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

We stayed at Jamaican color for one week in February 2012 during our 3 week stay in Jamaica.

First of all i need to mention that we have arranged with them to come pick us up on the airport in Kingston but our flight was first delayed and then because of some unnecessary problems at the airport (If its possible fly to Montego bay and not in Kingston) we were around 2 hours late and we were realy scared that our ride wont be waitting for us anymore (let me mention that it was around 11pm) but when we finally got out of the airport Romain was still there waitting for us, most people wouldnt.

Back to the hotel, its perfect, i loved the bungalows, they have everything u need and more, the pool and the restaurant are just a couple of steps away, they have a stunning view and perfect surroundings. When we came to Kingston we were a bit freaked out but Portland is the place to experience Jamaica. I need to say that in 3 weeks we traveled all of the Jamaica and there is no place like this one. Everything is green, no massive tourism, you can feel the real Jamaica and real Jamaicans, go to the best beaches on the island. Romain was right, Winifred beach realy is the best beach in whole Jamaica and we've been to every single one of them, 7 mile beach in Negril doesnt even come close. Also awesome bars on the beach with best bar mans, delicious food!

I cant talk highly enough about this hotel, we loved it there, we are only sorry we didnt stay there more than a week because this part of Jamaica realy is the best part, unless ofcourse ure a fan of big crowded hotels with millions of tourists.

Romain will take you anywhere u wanna go, but a minute walk from the hotel u can catch a Jamaican taxi, driving in one of them realy is an experience so dont miss it:D and they are realy cheap, nothing more than 100 jamaican dolars which equals 1US.

This hotel realy is a place to be, we felt like home there, so comfortable and it was realy hard to leave. If were gonna go to Jamaica again, this is the place well go.

Oh and omg, they have the most delicious Jams for breakfast, banana jam, pineapple jam omg, i wish they could send me some:D

My wife and I just returned from a week-long vacation in the Port Antonio Region. Two of the nights were spent in Jamaican Colors. I cannot speak highly enough of our stay, the hospitality demonstrated by the family who runs the hotel, and the beautiful and unique location of Jamaican Colors. With a lush green backdrop on one end and the expansive ocean on the other, it’s a wonderful place to relax and take in the beauty of this picturesque region of Jamaica. The property is well kept, lined with flowers and trees, and includes a stunning view of the waves crashing into a mountainous cove below. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely; we stayed in the room called “Dr. Bird”, though I am fairly certain that all of the rooms are alike. The family that runs the establishment includes Bob, Martin, and their son Romain. They went out of their way time and time again to ensure that my wife and I had a comfortable stay. Martin removed sea urchins from my toes that I got from Boston Beach. Romain woke up with me at 7:00am to teach me how to surf. The family cooks great food and does everything with a smile. We learned a lot about Jamaica from talking with them. They directed us with a wealth of information on things to do that were nearby, including all kinds of tips on how to get the most out of each sight. Besides the family, the rest of the staff were very friendly and polite. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

My mother booked a cottage and bungalow for my 30th and I honestly cannot think of a nicer place to have celebrated. The bungalows were just fantastic, decorated perfectly and simply a pleasure to sleep in. Everything was clean and refreshed daily and generally the whole complex was a blessing to the eyes, it was just the most beautiful place to stay. I would recommend Hotel Jamaican Colors to anyone with absolute confidence and would rate it 20 out of 10. Excellent!!

This is a very accommodating place that is tucked out of the way and off the beaten path. Villas are very clean and the property is beautiful. If you are looking for "high end" accommodations, go to a resort! If you are looking for a true experience with marvelous people, views, and close proximity to beaches, stay here! Since there is so much luscious foliage and beautiful flowering trees on the property, I recommend bringing mosquito spray if you are staying during the summer months.

We stayed at Hotel Jamaican Colors in September of 2009 and fell in love with it and just had to go back this past December. Martine, Bob, and Romain are always very nice and accomodating from the minute you arrive. A couple in our group asked if it was possible to get an air conditioner and they had it installed by the time we got back from our adventures that same day.

With the swimming pool, hot, tub, restaurant/bar, and their own private cove, you have everything you'd need if you want to stay on the serene property and just relax. The grounds are beautiful and there are photo opportunities everywhere you turn. If you are an adventurer there are several places within driving distance that make for a amazing day! While there we visited our favorite places - Jerk Alley to pick up some of our favorite jerk, Reach Falls, Bath natural hot springs, and even the Blue Lagoon - what a dream! Romain is always willing to set up a time to take you or tell you the best places to go and things to do.

Even the Rasta and Rocket, the wonderful pets on the grounds, will take a stroll down to the cove with you to keep you company. The food is priced well and always delicious! The bungalows are always kept very clean, are really comfortable, and have hot and cold water. This is definitely one of our favorite places on the island and somewhere I will always come back to :-) It's a little piece of heaven!

Thank you Martine, Bob, and Romain for always being an unforgettable part of our adventures :-) Hope to see you again soon!

Room Tip: All bungalows are great! Specifiy # of beds needed
