Stayed at hotel jamaician colors in May for 2 weeks..staff was good, room was clean mind u it got very hot in the room during the day I didnt mind too much as I was out most of the time it was comfortable sleeping nice breeze. The bed was very comfortable and they provide a mosquito net which was great..would of been nice if the room had a mini fridge. Location was good to go into town was only 30 min to port Antonio. Owners were very nice..great breakfast! Pizza is delicious! I would definitely stay again:)

We stayed at the Jamaican Colors hotel while in the Port Antonio area. Hotel is quiant, with very basic accomodations on a cliff-top. There is a small pool & OK restaurant offering Jamaican and European fare . Very quiet area.

Room Tip: rooms closest to cliff

The location on a high cliff with beautiful views over the surroundings are nice. It is a bit off with no other restaurants nearby and the bar/restaurant tend to shut down quite early and when nobody was there it could take time to get your beer. I loved the extra touch from the cleaning lady, she noticed that I had some flowers (they were a gift from a friendly guy we met) on the table and after that she put in fresh flowers everytime she cleaned. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had higher expectations on the food and the standard, mostly due to the description in the lonley planet but the staff was great.

Myself and two friends stayed here for three nights in early January. It's an ideal spot to relax in and a good base for exploring Reach Falls (10-15 mins by taxi), Long and Boston Bays. Excellent value and Romain is a really helpful guide to local amenities. Bear in mind though that it's a 30 minute drive in to Port Antonio.Having said that the drive along the coast road is stunning and in a route taxi only costs $150 -200 Jamaican.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here during Christmas, it's truly is an amazing place. Great staff and cute bungalows. Love the pool area and the wonderful view. Close to some really amazing places; Boston Bay, Winniefred Beach and Reach Falls were some of our favorites. Ask the staff for their advice and tips! Good to have a car in this area to get around and we missed other restaurants in the area (the lonely planet guide wasn't super up to date), but fortunately the food at the hotel was great, home made Jamacian/European style cuisine. Sometimes they arrange with Dj's and they have a pool table and dominos to play with which we loved, for a longer stay it would be nice with some more game alternatives also maybe a "schedule" so you could easier plan your night activities or invite friends staying at other hotels to come by for dinner. This is in Portland where it's more common with rain falls throughout the days and nights, unfortunately the mosquito nets weren't in great shape in our bungalow, so bring insect repellent!
We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon, thank you!

My boyfriend chose Jamaican Colors based on the reviews we saw on Trip Advisor and I admit I was a little hesitant! However, I am so glad we chose to stay here instead of a slightly glossier hotel with no personality or character.

The grounds were beautiful with lots of vibrant flowers and a great pool that was well used by me! The rooms are more on the basic side, but are still very comfortable, and were kept very clean. Bob and Martine were excellent hosts and were extremely helpful and friendly.

The food was a huge plus, and we enjoyed some lovely meals- lots of jerk especially! My only criticism is that the bar tended to shut down around 9pm- which is a bit too early for a twenty-something- but I understand that Bob and Martine need to sleep! I think the need for a flowing bar is the English in me talking...

All in all, Hotel Jamaican Colors is a great choice and excellent value. Perfect for visitors that want to FEEL they are staying in Jamaica instead of a generic hotel that could be anywhere.
