The cute houses in the residential streets are cute, local feel and our driver got us on the school grounds to see the historic place (old fort) and told us all of the history! Very cool

I read a history book on Portland Parish and am amazed how fancy the Titchfield Peninsula used to be. I really enjoyed the energy of the area though. Real people, real life.

tichfield is a penninsula connected to the town of port antonio ..a neighborhood of small homes many reflecting period architecture of 200 years ago when banana exports made this the preferred location of the upper class..most of these homes are now rundown awaiting a promised rennaisance by jamaican billionaire michael lee chin..at the end of the penninsula is fort george fortified with cannons ..the scenery from this vantage point is stunning..for many years the fort has been home to titchfield high school..also on the bay side of the penninsula is a quiet bathing beach accessed thru the port antonio marina
