We stayed in the banana suite, a 2 bedroom villa. It took a while to understand the ac units, the bathroom flooded and shower leaked water into the foyer, bedside lights did not work. Beds were comfortable. There is not a dryer, so beach towels were sometimes damp. Afore the 1st night, housekeeping took some of the covers and we never got them back. Fabio is very relaxed, but was great taking us to his bank and helping us get cash, in addition to talking to a couple of pharmacists and getting some ear meds for our daughter. Staff was fantastic! Loved Ricardo. Chefs were terrific and Paul accomadating. I felt very safe there. Food was good. They ran out of red wine and ice cream, but when I asked them to buy it, they did and even asked my daughter for the kind she liked! Def on J time, so don't stress about time. Every place was slow to get good out, so don't go to dinner hungry, order LONG before you're starving, this goes for sansan and Anna bananna. Frenchmens cove was ok,but loved Winifred's beach, which is where the locals hang out, much warmer water, cool shells and clearer water. Reich falls is a must! Liked somerset falls, but the beach and rafting weren't worth the walk. Do rafting on the rio grande.
We did not have any bug problems.

hotel looks nice at the first shot
you can see, where they want to go with the hotel, but it looks like "not professional"
the staff is very friendly (for an Italian owner maybe a bit too relaxed in the Jamaican way)
it was not high season (and mybe/hopefully the reason for our dissapointment), so the hotel was almost empty and the vibe in the hotel didn't help to not feel abandonded
some trash on the floor of the dining area for example (Italian Restaurant - expensive prices) was still there after 3 nights staying there (and the staff was not too busy to fix that)
In the shower you have to take the water as warm as it comes out, because there is just one plug to turn the water on or off
the water in the pool looked a bit milky - we didn't try to dive in
good is the mosquito net over the bet and the rooms are big
the small, nice, private frenchmans cove beach is right across the street (7$ entrance) and other beaches and the blue lagoon aren't so far to go by taxi
In summary: the price is to high for what you get. We stayed 3 nights and wouldn't want to stay longer

We found this place just driving passed it after checking out Frenchmans Cove across the road. We got a small room at a good price.
The house is high up on the hill, the grounds are beautiful but especially the view from our balcony of the jungly gardens. The room was very comfortable and private. The bed was perfect, the water was super hot in the shower, the whole place was clean, safe and had a relaxed energy. All of the staff were lovely. There was space for us to park our car. The internet worked fine, although only in the office area but that was fine.
All in all a great place. i would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are spacious and clean and really nice for the price. The grounds are beautiful and well kept (aside of the car on blocks at the entrance) and the swimming pool is great. But what really makes San San Tropez such a nice place is the incredibly laid back and friendly atmosphere. The Italian / Jamaican family running the place is really warm and welcoming and we felt like at home. They are very easy in accommodating any request. When I asked what it would cost to run a load of washing for us I was answered: "Just tip the lady doing it". Phil, the waiter, took our teenagers partying in Port Antonio and they had a blast!
Food is good but contrary to the accommodation slightly overpriced.
All in all the best price / quality ratio of the 6 accommodations we used around Jamaica

Room Tip: If you travel with kids choose the Pineapple suite: 2 separate rooms sharing a hall and a bathroom. Very good value.

My girl friend and I needed a nice long relaxing trip. We stayed for 2 weeks. Everyone one was so helpful. Ricardo and Phil worked in the kitchen but helped out any way they could. It is a small villa with only about 6 room so perfect for a private get away for several friends or family. My girl friend and I wanted our own bedrooms so thye had the perfect rooms for us. We had a room where you walked into a foyer that lead to each bedroom with own door and the 1 bathroom. It was great for us and would be great if traveling with children. You had your privacy with closing off your small section and the seperate bedrooms. Fabio was always around to be sure we were fine, we were treated like family. We had our privacy but if needed anything someone was always ready to help. The continental breakfast was included and was delicious with all the fresh fruit. The dinners were italian food and great especially the pizzas which were made fresh when you ordered - so took a little while to make - but so worth it. Since I mainly just hung out by the pool or beach I wised they would have had a lunch menu, but would just walk down to Frenchman Coves, which was a 5 min. walk down the hill, and get lunch there. The beach is a private gated beach, but I would get a free pass from the hotel. It was never crowded and so beautiful with a cool stream feeding into the ocean. I had a wwonderful time!
