Warm clear water, where the locals hang out. Take your snorkel gear and water shoes. Steep hill, careful if you are driving.

Enjoy a beer and some traditional food with the locals. Great for families and kids, since the water is calmer. Make sure you have a 4WD if you go down all the way, it's bumpy and can be very mudy. Make sure you use the bathroom before you go there, haha, not a pleasant experience. Tip the parking guides.

It's either a long walk or a very bumpy ride to get to this lovely beach. That's literally part of what sets Winifried apart however, because most of the other beaches in Portland have the main road just beside them. Facilities are rough, there no clean restroom. But there are very cool, funky, bar/restaurants with all sorts of Jerk and fish. Water was quite rough when we were there and I'd recommend water shoes unless you stick to the small sandy areas underwater. Everywhere else there are sea urchins so care is needed

it's a about 10- 15 mins walk on gravel after route taxi dropped you off, but it's one of the most beautiful beaches We have seen!

We went there on Monday afternoon, we were the only tourists and people swimming in the sea, you can have the whole beach to yourself.

Mrs Simpsons on far right corner stall of the beach will cook you some delicious fish or chicken - real cooking with love!
