“Astonishingly good.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2014

We came away hoping to de-stress at the end of the year, and in all honesty could not have found a better place to unwind. From the moment we arrived, we were given the greatest treatment we have ever had at any hotel. Our villa was huge, and came with its own pool. It was hard to leave the patio! But when we did, the rest of the hotel proved just as good. The food, be it traditional Jamaican fare or Jam-Asian, is to die for. We tried everything on the menu, and it was all fantastic. The service is perfect - the staff are courteous and helpful, never intrusive, and are always willing to help in any way. We hope to come back soon.

We stand for 13 nights in the Shiprock Villa and had the last 3 nights the master room of the Trident Castle. What a great location and very smily service. A little Jamaican paradise and a lot of historic. There are a lot of activities you can do around or you can just relax at the privat beach or at the perfect located big pool with a extremely nice view. Back in your villa you have always your privat pool and jacuzzi.
The very smily breakfast ladies, the reception ladies and the drivers did a perfect job with a lot of motivation. Thank YOU so much....... ray and mic

Last August, we went for a trip around the all Island (MoBay, Negril, Treasure Beach, Kingston, Blue Mountains, Port Antonio….).

We decide to stay 5 nights at Port Antonio where we initially booked on owners direct. The place there didn't suit our needs so we went to look for other options.

That's were the Magic started.

We visited the Trident and were directly welcomed by a very professional, warm and smiling staff. The staff directly understood our needs and could point us to the best solution for us within the three properties (Trident is linked to Geejam and The Castle - they are all amazing but very different).

We stayed in room number 8 which like all the rooms, was very very spacious (I insist - very spacious !) , modern , functional, perfectly cleaned, comfortable and beautiful (it is modern style not authentic but of good taste and great quality). As I said, the rooms were perfectly cleaned and that was the case for the all stay - staff is doing the job the way it is supposed to be done !

This room like all the other ones offer direct view on the sea with a private plunge pool and a huge terrace. Perfect for sun bathing in privacy.

The Trident also offer amongst other a small private beach (with life guard) and a amazingly beautiful infinity pool. The place is also not too big which make you feel good as pool/ beach are not crowded at all (more kind of the private experience).

The restaurant was another highlight. Breakfast was diversified and always very good. Service was superb - nice way to start your day believe me ! Room service, tasty and efficient - the way it should be. Restaurant very nice as well for dinner with some days selection of amazing sushi.

On top, you can have dinner at the Geejam (must be check out !) have an evening walk to the Castle (for a romantic fairytale experience….) or the staff will be please to organize different trips (to Frenchman Cove, Blue Lagoon, etc….) The area is perhaps the most beautiful in Jamaica and the Trident is one of my top highlights in the trip.

I will definitely go back to the Trident as it was simply perfect !

Many thanks for the staff there to have made us feel so good !!

If you're looking for the ultimate in pampered luxury, star like treatment without the paparazzi, and set in a gorgeous setting that only Jamaica and the Caribbean can offer all year round, then look no further! The Trident hotel provides all the amenities of a large luxury resort, but with the personality and anonymity that only a boutique hotel can offer. Every attention to detail was taken care of--from the tasteful modern décor appointing each individual villa, complete with apple TV, private outdoor swimming area and outdoor shower/hot tubs, to the tasteful elegance and exquisite food served in the main dining room. Breathtaking views adorn. Absolutely stunning and memorable!

From the moment I arrived I was treated like royalty by the staff of the hotel. The facilities are modern and stylish and the scenery both from the eternity pool and right outside my suite were stunning. What I like best about the Trident is that I can be as public or private as I like. My suite overlooking the ocean had complete privacy from my room right up to the ocean as a result of the walls that separate each suite making the outdoor showers, bath tub and private pool both fun and comfortable. If I wanted to interact with people I would choose to go to the main pool or bar. It was a great experience! We ate at Mike’s supper club and the food was outstanding with service that was great. In short I was totally recharged!

This newly renovated hotel is in excellent condition. The food and service were top-notch. The view from the infinity pool overlooking the ocean is spectacular. The villas are new, modern, well-appointed and comfortable, many with private pools. The fact that the hotel is not located in a touristy area is part of its charm. It's definitely a place to relax and get away from it all. Most of the oceanfront is rugged although there is a well-protected private beach on the west edge of the property for taking dips in the ocean. It's only about a two minute walk from the beach to the lobby. Villa numbers start near the main part of the hotel and the pool; as the villa numbers go up they get further away from the lobby and closer to the beach.
