I have just returned from a week at the Trident and can say that I was extremely privileged to have stayed there. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, inviting and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, we pre-ordered our evening meal from the Taxi on route so when we arrived a welcome (and well needed) drink were supplied and we opted for a delicious meal in our villa. The accommodation is stunning, coupled with the amazing private pool overlooking the ocean it is in a location of rare and unspoiled beauty. I swam in the infinity pool whilst the sun came up and used the gym in readiness for the superb breakfast. Thereafter the staff helped organise trips to the Blue Lagoon, Frenchmans Cove and rafting down the Rio Grande (as well as spending a few days simply chillin). We had a great night at Geejam serenaded by the brilliant Jolly Boys and the Saturday jazz band evening was superb. Steve - thanks for your wisdom and knowledge - it was a pleasure to meet you and the great staff you have there. V

The Trident is striking - with its modern, mid-century white architecture and design. It has a very sophisticated and chic ambience. The villas were unusually large and beautifully appointed with terraces on the ocean front and jacuzzis. They could easily accommodate a family of four. The infinity pool is inviting and gorgeous, just look at the photos on their website. We preferred the pool area as the beach is small. We had a wonderful evening at the Supper Club listening to an incredible jazz band. One of the owners, Steve Beaver is a warm and engaging presence, always interacting with guests and making sure everything is running smoothly. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It was very easy to explore the area as they provided car service with incredibly friendly drivers. We had a great night out at a local karaoke bar which was especially fun when Vinroy and Adrian came in. If you want to have an authentic Jamaica experience, Port Antonio is a perfect place to be with its lush tropical surroundings, natural attractions such as the Blue Lagoon, Frenchman's Cove, rafting trip down the Rio Grande River and great local restaurants.

The Trident Hotel is an impeccably decorated and staffed oasis in Port Antonio. We were staying at the Geejam ( The other Geejam Collection resort in Port Antonio) and traveled to the Trident so that our 6 year old could experience the infinity pool. Little did we know that we would fall in love with this property, too. So, we extended our stay so that we could stay at the Trident. We were not disappointed. In fact, we wished we had more days to stay at the Trident. The villas are spacious , comfortable and simply chic with its own plunge pool or heated jacuzzi ( you choose pool, jacuzzi or both!) Each villa overlooks the ocean. With the plunge pool and mesmerizing ocean, you never have to leave your villa. But, you must get out and meet the staff! Some of the nicest , informative and professional staff we have met. Arthur at the beach was a wealth of marine and Port Antonio knowledge. He took our 6 year old son out on a paddle boat, showed him the molten shell of a lobster and patiently answered his never-ending questions. At breakfast, I was curious about the delicious yellow yam that I was eating. 5 minutes later our waiter returned with the yam in its natural state and gave me lesson on its cooking as well as other local foods.
Another gem of the Trident, not to be missed is a performance by " The Jolly Boys " and the Jazz band.
The Trident Castle is breathtaking. We are looking for a reason to have an event there! The Trident is a beautiful, peaceful , luxurious gem not to be missed. We look forward to returning with other family members.

We stayed a Geejam, however came over to drink and eat quite a few times. Super cool staff, excellent bar, gorgeous dining room and perfect spot to play pool and beat my man. He actually won every time, but who really cares. I saw one of the most perfect rainbows I've ever seen and later that evening we sat down to a beautiful dinner. Never have I had sushi in Jamaica, and this dinner was as good as anywhere I've been. Wish I was there. I will be back Jack. XO Jennifer & Locke

The Trident Castle is simply one of the most amazing and breathtaking places I have ever been to, and I have visited quite a few places. We were privileged to have got married at the Castle in December, and Oh it was a day to remember. The princess got a chance to say 'I will' to her prince, in a castle...it can't get any better than that. Our guests were in awe of the extraordinary edifice, which has well-manicured lawns and an awesome view of the Caribbean Sea.
Kudos to the staff who pulled out all the stops to ensure that out day was memorable. Special mention has to be made for team Shevanise Harrison and Andrea, who were our 'on the day planner'. They did an excellent job to ensure that things progressed smoothly. They even assisted our photographers with shots during the bridal shoot. We were also given the opportunity to take our photos at the Trident Hotel, which is just as spectacular as the castle.
My room recommendation at the castle is the Princess room, it is very spacious and comfy.
Without any reservation, I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants to tie the knot. You won't regret and your pics will be amaaaaaaazzzinggg.
