It's a little beach shack and that's what you get. Bathroom situation was undesirable, but food good.

We had the pepper shrimp for an appetizer and it was gooood. And by pepper they mean scotch bonnet peppers so it has a bite. We also had the lobster tails, not enough can be said, but yum, yum, yum!!!!! Staff was wonderful and they owner is really awesome. Great atmosphere and is an outdoor restaurant. Don't miss it if you get the chance to eat there and all the seafood is caught fresh daily.

My wife and I stopped into Sharkies for lunch twice on a recent trip to Jamaica. It's in a great location by the beach a few miles West of St Anne's. On our first trip my wife had a Caeser Salad (no great culinary challenge there!) and I went for the garlic shrimp which was excellent; shrimps perfectly cooked, tender and redolent of garlic. Fries were light and crisp. Service was a little slow and unenthusiastic, but we left relatively content - sufficiently so to revisit.

Our second experience was terrible. The service verged on being 'sulky' and was very slow even though the place was not busy; it took an hour from ordering to being served. We both had lobster which was badly over-cooked (did they grill it for the whole hour?) , hence dry and stringy. It had also not been properly de-veined which added an extra degree of unpleasantness to the whole experience. Fries were like cardboard; hard and unseasoned.

I guess it really is hit and miss - ranging from the fairly good/acceptable to appalling.
