This extreme adventure was crossing from one town to another, we did river trekking, crossing through the forest doing hiking and had the experience to be on top of the waterfall cascade was amazing with that beautiful scenery. Everybody was amazed. We got to the bottom of the waterfall and had a little swim and got under the water cascade. Have a water massage on your back was so relaxing. We continued and wanted to see more; the creations of those big rocks, at two hundred feet below in the canyon. We did rappelling which was awesome. Advice you need a good pair of sneaker, gloves and plenty of water and have munchies cause you will get hungry! Our tour guides Ricky Lopez and Gama are great!! you will feel comfortable with them when doing the adventure. We did all that until we got to the other side of the town through the woods and river trekking. This was my first time and will go again and enjoy every moment of it.

I just wanted to see it and maybe to go a little bit inside. No acces, just a phone number for an organised walk (I prefer to be alone). I had to go out without any view of the canyon. Bad organisation for the tourist. Frustration.

I found Ricky Lopez and Montaña Explora by reading the articles on www.puertoricodaytrips.com . We decided on a 5 hour adventure (not to long, not too short) and it seemed to be the perfect amount of time. Long sleeve shirt, long pants, a good pair of sneakers & GLOVES, GLOVES, GLOVES are a MUST. You will be going by a lot of vegetation & rocks so you should protect your skin as much as possible. Dry fit clothing is recommended and jeans are the WORSE thing you can bring!

Ricky, his son Gamadiel & Joseph were our guides. They are knowledgeable not just about their craft, but also with regards to the history of the island, the vegetation & the animals. They are also all fluent in English, funny & charming, which makes for a VERY FUN TRIP!

The excursion was physically challenging if you wanted to participate in all aspects, but it is not required. One of the individuals on the group came along, but did not have to participate in the more strenuous activities. He still had a great time!

The cost is reasonable, the experience is unique and the team unparalleled. On the way out of the canyon, they ask that we help clean up this once garbage dumping site by carrying whatever we could from a small piece of metal to plastic bottles.

A perfect day with great company from beginning to end!

It is a great adventure, relaxing, You disconnect yourself from the every day routines. Beautiful sceneries, walking the fields going into the woods going hiking, doing rappelling, swimming and taking pictures, river trekking. Going understand the water cascades. You won't regret it.
