We stayed at El Convento from April 15-22. We started e-mailing them with questions in mid March. They were prompt and informative from beginning to end. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and easy to talk to.
We were in room 104 and had a small veranda attached to our room. It has a water feature and was a nice relaxing spot for morning coffee. We were treated to wine and cheese nightly and excellent turn down service.
Trixi was a bit aloof, but that is to be expected.
I guess my only suggestion would be some small plaques near the historical pieces explaining their history. We we're given a handout that detailed the history of the building, but I am a sucker for the story behind the artwork and pieces in the hotel.
One thing we didn't plan on was how nice it is to be in the middle of the city experiencing the people.
This was a great experience and I highly recommend it.
