Gate San Juan offers beautiful views great for some good pictures. The are where it is located felt very safe. Some tourists, but we did not find it very crowded. We really enjoyed walking around Puerto Rico and San Juan Gate was one of the best for pictures

Take the walk along the old city wall from The Raices Fountain along the Paseo de la Princessa and pass by the City Gate on your way to the base of the Castillo San Felipe del Morro for a great photo opportunity. There is a small pier you can use to get some good angles of the Puerta de San Juan.
If you take the walk in the early morning you will also see the cats being fed by the volunteers from savethegato.org

Loved the history. Felt like we were back in time. Liked everything. There was nothing to dislike. The proximity to the ocean made it very appealing.

The San Juan Gates are neat and the view is worth the walk! There are some neat restaurants and shops (even a Coach outlet store) nearby. It is also within walking distance of the fort.

Situated on the water near the cruise ship harbor, this gate is not too interesting but if you’re in the area you should stop by. All rich citizens passed through the gate when they entered San Juan, so there’s that...
