If you have a few days in San Juan it would be plain silly to not stop by here. It is a very prominent landmark of San Juan so you should go. It's interesting BUT I have to say that there are so many levels and towers - after seeing about two, you pretty much get the jist of it. And as for the levels- top one is cool because you get a good view of the ocean, bottom one is also cool because it's kind of like a dungeon but the middle ones are meh.

ALSO I got a pirate map in the gift store so once I have found the treasure I will be sure to return and give good tips to the staff.

$5/ adult, and our 10 year old daughter was free. Entrance fee gave us a week's admission to the fort to explore. From the dungeon to the top of the fort it is steeped in history with lots of curious tunnels and stairways to explore. The gorgeous views from the top are unparalleled! It was a highlight of our trip to San Juan!

The fort is really close to the downtown area. It only took me 5 min to walk there from where I stayed. This fort, though it's newer than del Morro, is larger and more complicated. These are the reason why I prefer this fort. I spent more than 3 hours exploring it. Everything is well preserved. I like the way they put the description board along the way to gives a knowledge about the history of this place. It's also a good spot if you like photographing!

Had a great time here saw all of the fort. You can also get great views of old San Juan and the other fort. There is also a video downstairs in the AC that plays ever 15 minutes or so. Remember your ticket stub from the other fort is good here as well and vice versa. Great views of the ocean as well.
