I found the accommodations and the staff excellent. Marlene and all of the front desk employees, the cleaning staff, maint and owners went above and beyond to make my stay a very memorable one. When I needed information on a tour or a cab, they always checked around and got the best prices for me. They recommended E and B tours for a few trips and they were top notch. Location is great in the Ocean Park area. I am a lone traveler and Tres Palmas is situated in a very safe and secure area. I walked many times to the east and west of the Inn to an array of fabulous restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinners. Tres Palmas has a contl breakfast that is enough to get you up and going for an action packed day or on those days to just stay at the Inn and enjoy the very clean beach that is right there. They have beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, surf boards and bicycles to use. Thank you again for a memorable stay and will recommend Tres Palmas and also will be back for my next trip to Puerto Rico.

We couldn't believe the location of the Tres Palmas. It appeared beautiful and perfect for our 20th anniversary celebration. We were not wrong! This place surpassed our expectations. It was so clean and had superb customer service. Everyone we interacted with went out of their way to make our stay more than pleasant. They helped us with cabs, with restaurants, maps, etc.

We stayed in the Ocean View Suite, and I highly recommend it. It's upstairs, private, large, with our own small balcony and the incredible view of the three palm trees and that gorgeous ocean right outside our window. Every morning, when I woke up, all I had to do is turn to my left. I could see the ocean. The sound of the waves was also very soothing in the evening. The jacuzzi is right outside our room. Guests were respectful and not noisy. So, having a jacuzzi right there outside our door was great, too.

Tres Palmas is conveniently located less than a 10-minute cab drive from the airport or another 10-minute cab ride to Old San Juan. We walked everywhere and had dozens of restaurants to pick from within a very short walking distance. On Sunday, we crossed the street and walked to the beach. It was like paradise (see photos)

Breakfast was simple and sufficient every morning. Besides coffee, tea and juices, you had cereal, cakes, fruit, ham, cheese and breads. Again, an unobstructed view of the ocean made breakfast even more special.

Room Tip: If you want a special room, get the Ocean View Suite. It has a small sitting area and kitchen. Since...

Spartan accommodations, but comfortable. Air-conditioning, which I have learned is not always a given. Good dining choices within walking distance. Convenient to bus stop for exploring San Juan. Convenient to highways for exploring the island. Right on the beach. Complimentary beach towels, paddle boards, beach chairs, bicycles. Small but adequate pool. Street parking. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, including hammocks in the yard. Very helpful staff. Would go back.

A friend and i stayed here for 5 days in early Sept. The location in a beach residential area was convenient, but by U.S. standards and for the price, the lodging was, at best, fair. The room was adequately sized but basic. The exterior layout of the inn was nice in that there was a small pool, upstairs deck/hot tub with view of the ocean, a couple of small courtyard areas. The continental breakfast was quite limited/maybe passable. Staff were friendly, with the more experienced person more helpful than the other. The Inn is within walking distance of Kasalta which is a great place to buy a bite to eat and wonderful pastries.

In fairness to Tres Palmas, all of San Juan is quite overpriced so this Inn may be no better or worse than other comparable lodgings. Visit to El Yunque was terrific and a redeeming event during our stay in Puerto Rico.

Room Tip: Back from the street for more quiet, although expect animal sounds (i think it was the Coqui and not...

Hello, it was nice taking to you earlier today, we really wan't our guest to have a positive experience when they choose us, our Bed and Breakfast as you could experience has a Beach House theme to it and is not a Big Chain Hotel. We are small, cozy and specifically very friendly. We put great pride in our service, cleanliness and want everyone to leave wanting to come back. Our "Continental Breakfast" is much more than that, the regular continental breakfast consists of fruits, cereal, coffee and breads. We add croissants, bagels, sausages, hard boiled eggs, hot chocolate, tea and cakes. Our staff works very hard to keep up to date with all the information necessary to guide each guest and if they don't have it they will find it!!! Every day we are improving and adding new things to our Inn. We apologize if we did not meet to your expectations, but we promise we will keep on working hard to improve. We would have wished for you to talk to us while you were staying here at Tres Palmas Inn, so that you could have given us the chance to help and make your experience better.
We invite you to join our Facebook page so that you can keep up to date with all the work and improvements we are making. We do want to thank you for taking the time to talk with us on the phone and thank you again for staying with us.

We stayed in Tres Palmas in the beginning and at the end of our 2013 taveling vacation in PR - the location is very close to the airport. And to Old San Juan- this town never sleeps :) We enjoyed with my husband very much staying in the hotel: friendly people, nice room (s), very nice continental breakfast, beach across the hotel with snorkling spots, if not inside room you can sit outside in the garden or on the terrace to enjoy the ocean view. I will recommend Tres Palmas to anyone! And take Bacardi tour while in this area:)

This was my first time visiting Puerto Rico and I went with a friend. We both like to explore when we go to a new place and get to know the real culture of a place, so we weren't looking for a homogenous resort that could be anywhere, which led us to Tres Palmas! It is situated in a residential area, right on the beach. The rooms are great, comfortable and clean and the rooftop deck was great for sitting and reading, listening to the waves and enjoying a nice breeze! The air conditioning was great in the rooms, but there really isn't insulation, so you can pretty much hear everything in the rooms around you, but I was on vacation so I didn't really find it bothersome :) The shower wasn't that great, pressure was fine for hot or cold, but the just right temperature just kind of dribbled out and if you took a shower at the same time as one of the other rooms close by it would go from hot to cold at random. The real gem here is the people! Louis was friendly and funny and really informative, Christina spent hours setting up tours for us while we were out exploring old San Juan, which was way beyond what we expected and Isaac was always around at night making us feel safe, everyone was fantastic, which you will not find at any resort, they were never put out and always took the time to chat. I highly recommend this little Inn if you really want to experience Puerto Rico and not just go to some Americanized version. We had a wonderful time!!

This is a fantastic review! We love to read about our guests experiences and we love knowing that your expectations were met and that we were able to pass them. We are like a big family and our staff works hard to have all the information you will need to make the vacation even better. We like to go above and beyond. As for the minor set backs we will keep on working hard to make everything better. We are always looking for ways to improve Tres Palmas Inn. We do hope you stay with us again in future visits to Puerto Rico.

A nice quiet place to spend a weekend very close to old town where most of the attractions are. Right by the sea away from the crowd. There is a roof top jacuzzi with ocean view. Quiet nice place. Associates were very nice and helpful. Climate control is not sufficient and noisy. It seems to be only problem I can remember.
