This is a lovely little property, off the beaten path in Ocean Park. A very quiet neighborhood with relatively uncrowded beaches. The room I stayed in was not ideal, and might prevent me from going back to Tres Palmas. There was very little natural light that came in, and I was right next to the swimming pool, which meant I could hear lots of noise; a bit annoying. But, besides that, I had a good experience. The staff was extremely friendly. They have beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, you name it. And the beach is literally right across the street. The continental breakfast was quite decent.

Room Tip: Don't stay in room 11, right next to the pool.

Stay one night after our RC Cruise. Free wi-fi available. (could be used everywhere on the property) Beach towels provided for pool and beach. The had bikes & lawn chairs available for use. I read the reviews from Trip advisor and found helpful. I found the beach was too rough and rocky to go swimming out front of the Inn. My husband and I stayed in Room 10 & 3 other family members in room #11. I found our room too close to the pool which was not a private as I had hoped. Pool was right there, which I used however I could have used a mat in the room to wipe my wet feet as the floor were all tiled. Could not get the safe to work. Over all I found the room was adquate and the bed was comfortable. I would have preferred darkening blinds for the room. There must be a bar close by because the base from the music was coming into our room loud and clear. We were tired and went to bed early , it was around midnight when it stopped. (I think) They have two wonderful hot tubs, one at the pool and the other was located on the roof top patio and lounge area. View were very very nice. I knew the Inn was located in a residental area and nothing was close by. I did not plan ahead for anything incase we needed down time after the cruise , not so much. We were looking for something to do. We decided to go to Condado beach area to check out the culture & shopping. Took Bus T3 not T5 (as suggested by the front desk) we knew it costed .75 cents but did not realize they did not take bills. we had 3 US dollars for 4 of us. We got a free ride! I am sure the bus driver was thinking darn tourist! It was sunday so there was a market at the centre of Condado. Great food! Beach was great looking there! When we headed back we took a taxi. (expensive- $13.00 for a 5 minute drive) The inn has a great set up if you wish to relax and hang out around the place. I would personally not go back only because I am more inclined to be where there is more action. I would consider going back to Old San Jaun for accomodations. Front desk gave us a wake up call for our early flight, called our taxi as well. I think Tres is a very good value for what you pay. It all depends on what you are looking for......

Room Tip: Review their website to choose the room of preference.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here at Tres Palmas Inn! We take all the reviews very seriously, and we will get a mat for each room to prevent the sand inside the room. As for the safes we already bought new ones are are almost done installing them in all the rooms.

Tres Palmas Inn is a small beach house at a residential area. The ambiance here is very relaxing, so usually our guest stay in the hotel, and head to the beach or they rent a car to make it easier to move around the island and explore more. We do appreciate your review and wish that you give us a second chance.

Once again thank you and we hope to see you soon

Great little spot, in between airport & Old San Juan. Room was small, but bathroom was huge. Older decor, safe didn't work but one was available through front desk. Warm & friendly greeting and very helpful. Arrived around 11:00 pm. Basic but good breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Place very clean. Quiet. Beautiful sea views Small room but for one night it's perfect. Very affordable price. The only glitch in the evening impossible to have a coffee or a snack. There should be bringing.

We stayed one night before leaving on a cruise and really enjoyed Tres Palmas. Guests and staff were low key, grounds were well appointed and covered our needs. The room was comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was just right. Our traveling partners in another room had problems with their air conditioner and shower although ours were fine.

The property sits across the road from the beach. That beach was very small but there is a beautiful public beach 1/4 mile down the road and the hotel lent out towels and chairs so we camped there for a few hours.

I would highly recommend this place for a short stay especially for folks looking for a homier, more laid back experience than a larger hotel.

Room Tip: Just make sure a/c and shower work when you arrive.

We spent one night here—our first night in Puerto Rico. Four of us stayed in Room 12, which has two queen beds. There's a little kitchen area (which we didn't use) and a large bathroom (shower was decent).

Service was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast the next morning was nice. But we really liked the location the best—it's across the street from the beach, and we were able to spend a bit of time relaxing there. There are also two hot tubs and a small pool. The hot tub on the roof was great—we watched the sunset while relaxing.

The hotel isn't super close to restaurants, but you can walk to some places (10-15 min walk) that are good. It was nice to be in a less touristy neighborhood of San Juan and I was glad we chose this place.

We enjoyed our stay at this inn. Cute property with very helpful staff. Compared to other options in San Juan, the price was reasonable. (Overall we felt everything in San Juan was overpriced.)

Rooms were clean and spacious. Air conditioning worked well. Comfortable king size bed with nice sheets.

Property was nice. We enjoyed the small pool and several outdoor seating areas. Especially enjoyed the roof top deck and the breakfast area, both with ocean views.

Ocean Park Beach is a quick walk away, sandy and shady. Beach directly across from hotel was too rocky. Popular Kasalta deli and bakery not too far away.

Breakfast was decent, but would be better if it offered local pastries and fresh fruit.

There is a road in front of the hotel, which can be noisy. Ask for a room away from street.

This Inn met our needs for a one night stay: clean and comfortable at a comparatively reasonable price.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from road and the pool area.
