“Another Great Street of Old San Juan”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

Calle del Cristo 9English translation: Christ Street) is yet another great street/area of Old San Juan. The streets are cobblestone and provide a great historic feel. There are shops and restaurants. A must stop is Spicy Caribbee, which carries a variety of tasty sauces, spices and teas at reasonable prices.

There is also Parque de las Palomas ( Pigeon Park) where you can feed pigeons. They literally flock to you and will sit on your arm is you have bird feed.

Also don't miss and Cristo Chapel. was built on this spot to commemorate a miracle. Legend has it that a young man lost control of his horse as he galloped down Cristo Street, and both raced over the edge of the cliff at the end of the road. As they plummeted to their deaths, the man prayed to a Catholic saint to save him, and the saint granted his wish

“Shoppers Paridise”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

Great street to meander around. So many shoppes to visit. I'm not much of a shopper type but I have to admit, it's a great place to walk around and check out. There are many small great stores and boutiques to check out. The store owners and workers are customer friendly. The streets are centuries old and great to travel

“Tourist Heaven”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

Between the Coach outlet store, where there are some real bargains, to some of Old San Juan's better restaurants, this street is always worth a visit. I have gone there each of my last 10 trips to PR and always will in the future

Very picturesque, historic with stunning views. There is a park nearby where you feed wild pigeons and buy some artisan goodies.
Not to be missed!

Beautiful street with two of the most important places in Old SJ: Parque de las Palomas ( Pidgeon Park) and Cristo Chapel, an old and historic structure that remains the culture of PR. Review from a local :)
