Owner description: A small 18th-century chapel with a fascinating history.
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Beautiful chapel- and so hard to fathom how old it is and just how it was constructed so many years ago. Worth a visit while wandering the streets of Old San Juan, and a great subject matter for photos.

I have always loved this tiny chapel and have visited many times but it was always closed, this summer I was finally able to photograph the inside. It has a beautiful altar and a few historical items. Very pretty and interesting. Loved it!

This is nice to see. We wanted to get to it and stopped by. It's tiny in person so it took us all of five minutes to photograph the outside. It's right next to the Pigeon Park so that's a neat place to visit since you're there.
It was never open when we were there and we passed by at least four-five times over the course of our three day visit. It might be better if it had posted hours and we could see inside.

Just takes a few minutes to pop in and visit. It is very small but in beautiful shape. The pigeon park is on the one side where you can purchase seed to feed these birds which are in the hundreds. They are a sight to see as they are overly plump! This chapel has wonderful detail and is full of charm. Walk around to go through the city gate and walk around the water.

I had heard stories of this chapel from a friend of mine who grew up on Calle Cristo.

We walked by it several times. Everytime (probably 5 or more) that we walked up to it I would look to see if it was open. No luck. Finally, one evening when I thought for sure it would be closed, we looked to see people in it and went it.

It's very small but very charming and graceful. The silver is amazing.

We got there just in time because the lady tending to the Chapel closed it to additional visitors within 2 minutes of our entrance.

We never saw it open again even though we were there two more days.

I felt very lucky to be able to see its beauty.

Thank Susan R
