If you like to take photos this is a great place for it. Right on the ocean and below the Fort. If you like visiting cemeteries you'll enjoy this one. Nice.

“Must See”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

Eerie but beautiful cemetery by the sea. Photography gold. It is located right next to El Morro, so as you're walking there you can see this cemetery on the way. I did not go down through it, but the birds eye view from the top was enough to see the entire grounds.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

This cemetery has a perfect spot so close to the ocean.
I think the broken grave I saw should have the garbage removed and the bones covered back up.
Right next to the Fort so I takes no time to walk down and have a quick look.

“San Juan Cemetery”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We were able to ride through the city of San Juan via a tour bus that we paid to enjoy, when we got off our Carnival ship. We both love history, so seeing this site was really awesome.

“Eerie and beautiful at the same time”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

We found this place on a tour and it is pretty neat, unlike the boring cemetaries here in Canada.
One of the graves was open and when I asked why a local guy next to me commented, "oh you know, that is from the influence of the people from Haiti. You know, voodoo. They try to let the bodies out".
You just need a short time here but it is part of the old wall that you will want to see anyway
